I lifted the Gladiator and could t figure out what the knocking or clunking sound was. After checking all bolts we pinned it down to a bad shock. This is brand new. We know it’s the shock as when we unbolt it two things happen.
the sound goes away
The shock does not extend on its own like it’s frozen.
Fox will not replace it. They want me to pay to ship it to them for evaluation and have nothing to drive to work in the meantime!
Anyone else had this issue? I will not buy fox again.

You can drive around town missing a shock if you need to get around. I was driving around for a week missing a shock.
I can’t help with the ruined shock issue though

What about support from wherever you bought the lift? One would expect a vendor to have some pull with Fox.

Not ideal but you can drive without a shock temporarily. Or go to Autozone and buy some basic cheapos just to get by for now. Know that sending it in for their "evaluation" is gonna be a lengthy process.

I have the MOPAR 2" on mine with the BILSTEIN reservoirs, they have been fantastic

Fox has always told me that you have to send them in for service, which I agree, sucks, but if they are going to warranty them, they have to see it, right? I recently hit them up for help on something with my Raptor shocks, and they weren't all that helpful due to proprietary reasons with Ford. In any case, I can't say I was impressed. Like others say, maybe return them.

I had to deal with Fox in their San Diego California facility about some coil over shocks with reservoirs…. Never buying fox crap again. They wanted me to ship them back east and “maybe” they would be rebuilt at their expense. I figured out it would be way cheaper just to have them rebuilt at one of the local shock places around here. They were 100% brand new…… like two days old. I do not know how the other shock companies would have treated me, but I am finished with Fox after these shocks wear out or need rebuilding again.

We have a set of Kings on our other Jeep, but keep the Bilstein 5100s that we took off as "B" shocks for when the fancy ones need a rebuild.

I learned on my last vehicle that you need a set of cheap shocks so you aren't out of a vehicle during a rebuild or service.

Go get some cheap shocks to throw on and send the Fox stuff in.

I’ll buy different shocks all together before sending them in. You can’t have that bad of service these days you won’t stay in business.

If you are considering Falcons, my experience with them resolving an issue was great. Without getting into the details, they went beyond what I expected in resolving the problem and their customer service was easy to deal with and returned phone calls in a reasonable time when I left a message. I’m also pleased with their shocks.
