Just a thought, but doesn't Bronco have an independent front suspension? While that might be better on the road, not sure I would prefer that rock hopping. I do like the look of the Bronco though.

Well this is probably my last post on the forum. I built a Gladiator Rubicon two years ago just to my specifications from the dealership and I’ve had nothing but problems with the Jeep. In two years time frame I’ve had two door seals that needed replaced (water leaking), numerous corrosion issues on hood/tailgate/hinges/doors, and now the latest issue an oil leak by the intake manifold. Don’t get me wrong I love Jeeps but it’s ridiculous that I’ve had so many issues with the Jeep only being two years old and only 27K miles. It’s time to move on and try another OEM. Hopefully Jeep gets their act together because they just lost a customer due to their poor quality.
This is not an airport. You do not need to announce your departure!

I had a 1970 Ford Bronco. I loved it.
That’s the real deal……. You can’t compare the new ones to the olds ones. Just sayin….
I’d love to have an original Bronco!!

I hope the Bronco works out. I would probably get a 4Runner and call it a day if reliability is the issue.

It does and it still rides worse … I might even say way worse than a JL or JT.

We like our gladiators, but absolutely NOT interested in any kind of ford “craptor”. Toyota yes, Ford no.

Ok I’m guessing I need to reply to you. I just traded my 2021 Big Bend Bronco for a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave!!! Will be my 3rd Gladiator. I had several recalls on my Bronco. The canvas top is down right ugly. Never comes clean and is so flimsy you can stick your had through the side and wind can actually blow snow into the Bronco. Many people are breaking the cheap plastic clips and getting worn tears from rubbing. It’s pretty to look at, but I didn’t believe it would last. I cut my losses early on. All underneath rust. Maybe that’s normal, who knows. Am not impressed. Think again. IMO. Had mine 2.5 years.

Why don’t you rent a bronco and determine what’s better … I randomly got a bronco as a rental is it’s worse at everything versus a jeep JL/JT. There is nothing it does better. Don’t be fooled by IFS handles the road better. The bronco was rattle city. The only rattle in my gladiator was the sunvisor rubbing on the rubber bumper, first time cleaned with interior dressing and it hasn’t made a peep since.

now, my rental ford expedition limited that was loaded with everything was very very nice.
Something I’ve noticed with this vehicle, after 6 vehicles purchased new, is the interior has really held up nicely in that there is no squeaks or rattles.

As for OP post, shame you had issues.

You don’t need to feel bad but don’t assume the Bronco will be trouble free….they aren’t either. They will likely be overpriced, but if they come out with a bronco pick up, which supposedly they might, I would seriously consider it if they aren’t ridiculously overpriced. Bronco Raptor with a manual (ya they won’t to that ) take my money!

Sorry you got a "lemon". I have a 2017 jkur that has only seen the dealer 1 time in 90k and a 2022 jt overland with 20164 that has only had oil changes. You just got unlucky. Good luck on the bronco

Engine as a wear item sounds like BMW. Having your own car try to murder you is actually one of TVRs endearing charms, but not something I want when bringing home a pack of Costco toilet paper in my SUV.
One could argue that if a TVR owner did a Costco run, by the time they get home they may need a sizable chunk of the pallet of TP they just bought. Sic vita est.

Not really interested in buying the Bronco, but agreeing with people that it’s handsome and curious about Fords effort, I watched a bunch of videos on it once the hype started to cool down and folks could be more objective. From LiteBrite’s driving through wind and seeing 4 inch gaps between the billowing top and the roll bar, to people constantly breaking tie rods, to the plastic! oil pan, to people killing their truck from the aforementioned alternator placement, to the electronic 4x4 system flaking out, I’m a solid Hell No on the Bronco. I absolutely would not trust its reliability off road. And all these choices tells me Ford was really cynical in their effort and not at all trying seriously to compete with the Jeeps, Land Cruisers, or Patrols of the world. Regular Car Reviews would call it a simulacrum of off road toughness.
The fit and finish on the full size is pretty bad compared to the Bronco Sport, we found that out back-to-back test driving them. I happened to see one with a soft top going down the highway, top up yesterday. The top was flapping in the wind and creased from either wear or improper lowering... which is something that should be virtually impossible on a $50K truck. Quality is Job #1.
