2021 JT Rubicon 1,900 miles, bottoms out when driven over slight dips at low speeds. Made multiple/hrs. of phone calls to no avail. From factory came with SDD Performance Fox suspension.
Does Mopar 2” lift remedy the bottoming out documented problem?
Does Mopar 2” lift contribute to (death wobble) with more mileage?
I think we have 2 or 3 threads on the eco bottoming out. I too am looking into the summary questions above. Looking to go mopar lift without Jeep’s help.

Update So my jeep dealership didn't find anything wrong with my jeep. No bottoming out, or anything.

Went over a bump and it happened. I did notice that I need to be going 10 MPH rto 15 MPH for it to do it. Should I even try and take their tech out and show them this or is it a lost cause?

.... or is it a lost cause?
I've come to the conclusion this is a lost cause. Last November, Jeep said they'd have a fix out in Q1. Well we are half way through, and no answer yet. And given the COVID hits on supply lines, Q1 will turn into Q3/4.

They "said" it's fixed with the '22's. Well, the '22's have a turtleneck sweater put on the bump. Yeah, it might not "feel" as bad, but it's probably still hitting... and how long til the turleneck wears out.

I've come to the conclusion that your JTD is going to be off pavement in any way, and even if you don't want to baby it ON pavement, it'll need a lift. 1 5/8" just isn't enough room to absorb the energy of a bump with the amount of weight the diesel has.

So I'm lifting it.... and putting in a jounce air bump. I've spent a year spinning on this issue, its time to move on without FCA, and start using the truck as I intended to when I bought it.

I would take them out and show it to them. Recreate it yourself with them around. They were dismissive at my first oil change, but I'm going to be insistent when I go back for my second oil change in a few weeks. I've been trying to let things play out, but if I'm at the dealership anyway, I'm going to make them see and document what happens. On my first oil change, they had to replace a broken exhaust bracket that I'm confident broke in one of my bottoming out episodes...

Is there a lift spring that only nets about 1-1.5” of list stock on the diesel? I’d rather use this than a spacer, also intend on keeping stock shocks. Maybe add air bumps?

RockCrawler should have one *soon*. Guys on one of the other threads on this topic recently posted an update he had from them.

As with all vendors right now, *soon* has to have a COVID asterisk by it.

Damn it

Ill take them out when I have time. I notice I have to be going like 15 MPH over bumps. Which is still stupid to me.

When are we supposed to get the update?

I have had my JTRD since early 2021 and it has bottomed to beyond the bump stops since day one. Multiple dealers later and all saying the parts are "All Good" I gave up. I put in a Clayton and Currie full suspension system and now the Rubi Diesel behaves the way FCA should have sent it to me. I feel like sending the bill to FCA for reengineering the diesel to the level it should have been when I purchased it. FCA/Stellantis, the diesel is WAY heavier than the gaser, so come on. Why should the customer have to sort out suspension on a brand new Jeep Truck!!!

For those on this forum, I had posted on another about the parts I used. I went with the Clayton Overland plus system. 4 1/2 inch front and 3 1/2 inch rear with the full control arm kit and Rock Jock Currie's massive tie rod and drag link. This kit is super stout. I have been pleased since the minute it came out of my garage. I am just waiting on a JKS geometry correction bracket set. Doing this to smooth out some of the sharper hits. I know they hang down a little but my truck is not being built as a rock crawler even though it is amazing at it. And guys I am almost 70 years old, so no I don't do things like level 7's and above. I will leave that to the guys with very specialized Jeeps etc.

Same here... waiting 15 mos now.

... edited cause you answered part of my question.... how much lift did you actually get on your 4.5 / 3.5 lift?

I'm doing the same route, ordered the 2.5 gas. They said on stock gas JTs, that normally nets 3" of lift, so it *should* still net me 2.5" in the front, and since I have a SmartCap on the rear, probably 2.5 in the rear as well. They said they might start getting their diesel specific front springs from their supplier in April. They are testing their HD rears now. So I figure if these don't get me quite what I need, for $500 I can swap in their heavier springs when they finally come available.

I can't wait, cause I have a Moab trip in April, and need SOMETHING in this NOW, or I'm missing out on ANOTHER year of Moab wheeling.

How much lift did you actually net out on the 4.5/3.5 setup?

I'm with you on not doing level 7 trails, I'll do 5 and 6's and have no problem taking the bypass on knurly obstacles on 6's.... and use my JT to tow my camper/trailer back home.

I got almost 5 inches in the front but I have not put in my Warn winch plate and Sherpa 17 k winch on yet, and it has not settled the spring either. I think I will end up with a true 4 inches of lift in the front. The truck sits a tiny bit front high so with the winch plate and winch I should be sitting dead level! I will take a picture and post soon. And James 2021 diesel, check your bump stops, the metal that hits the rubber stop. I bet its polished clean like mine always was. They cannot says its OK when the proof is starring them in the face!
