Post pictures of your Gladiator recovering lesser vehicles here.

This was today exploring the "Empty Quarter"
of the San Luis Pass on Galveston Island
named for the eponymous region of the Sahara Desert.

Here I am cruising the deceptive sands with confidence.

The flat, level appearance seduces the unwary tourist
like the one below.

The green VooDoo kinetic rope has recovered many a vehicle here.
Note the wooden dowel for the connection to the Fancy Ford.

The little girl was great. Right after I snapped the picture,
she looked up and extended her arms out palms up in a perfect shrug.

My only charge for a recovery is that I have to take a picture.
I took mine there, before i got 37's. Extreeeemely soft sand, compared to what we have in CA.

If anyone wants to help me learn how to upload videos from April 2023, I can provide more fun here. The nearest tree was so far away, and I didn’t have an extension, that a 30’ strap became a tree saver. It was barely long enough.
I suck at it personally but instagram is easy to upload to.

if you skip to 6:40 on this theres some pretty good shots of this obstacle and you’ll see some shots of me wheeling too. These are my good friends Shawn & Resa

That's a real nasty undercut in the foreground. You'd need a whole lot of tire to get up that, reminds me of the undercut on Steel Bender.

Bunce School Road, Colorado, last March. This XJ, Austin Powers'd themselves into the trail. The passenger was one of my employees, who reached out to the store, to have me come and rescue them. Had to unstuck the GMC also.

If they had a good winch and recovery equipment with them, they could have gotten themselves out of that. I watched a video of an Aussie pulling his ute out of a ravine sideways.

Very much so. My employee was up there stuck from about midnight until I got there at 10am. She was not driving. It was not a difficult recovery, and a fun run in the snow.

Good question. If it was a cyber truck, I’d have just laughed. But I’d definitely then winch them out. Why? So they can see they don’t actually have a capable truck. And that they needed a jeep to rescue them. Nothing makes me happier than winching a ford or Toyota, both of which I’ve done more than once. I can’t wait for the day I get to rescue a Land Rover. It’s going to be like Christmas, combined with my birthday, combined with winning the lottery.

Edit: I enjoyed thoroughly winching the same Escalade extended (fancy suburban), twice in two weeks last winter. So much fun.

@WILDHOBO Thank you for helping keep trash off the beaches.

I am only allowed to help locals on the beach we go to. Then again, the locals don't get stuck.
The joke is, I have so little beach and dune experience, I’d probably be the stuck one. From what I’ve read from you smart people, less air is key. I’m used to rock crawling with 14psi. I’m assuming I’d want less than 10 for sand traction. My wheels are rated for 10, but if stuck, I’d lower them as much as needed.

Only had a couple of opportunities and haven’t taken many pictures if any and the ones I have suck… here’s one pulling a high centered Chevy off a snow bank and my pops off the trail when his power steering pump went out.

I’m loving this thread. It quickly became my favorite. It bumped “what did you do to” into second place.
