Honestly I felt bad for them. They were not prepared and had no clue what to do. Plus they had damage to the bumper from hitting the sand.

This one was a bad angle. My friend and I moved mine perpendicular to him on the passenger side. We removed his freedom panels, used my rear winch to pull his roll bar down as he inched forward. It was on Moab rim, the day after doing Pritchett. If I had gone first, it could easily have been me.

Kinetic is the best way to go. I love it. It flexes and is forgiving

That reminds me of the old women from NYC in their BMW suv stuck just pass the to where you get on the beach at Corolla. I pulled them out with my Power Wagon. For my troubles, they gave me a $100, a case of beer and an invite to spend the night with them.

The joke is, I have so little beach and dune experience, I’d probably be the stuck one. From what I’ve read from you smart people, less air is key. I’m used to rock crawling with 14psi. I’m assuming I’d want less than 10 for sand traction. My wheels are rated for 10, but if stuck, I’d lower them as much as needed.
Nah, with your 37s, you wouldn't need to air down anymore than 15psi. I had our JLURD in the dunes on the stock tires and was running 20psi or so. 15 actually would of been perfect. I just kept a little speed up and made sure I was pointing downhill when I stopped.
Normally on the Oregon and Washington beaches that you can still drive on, I don't bother airing down.

Back when I was single I used my lifted Toyota to make gas money pulling dumb husbands out at the beach. Sometimes more than once. Never asked for money, but did accept "tips." Loads of cars and even minivans.

Kinetic is the best way to go. I love it. It flexes and is forgiving
I like it for the right situation. In a real recovery, I’ll start with the winch every time. Way more controlled. Stuck in snow or sand on something reasonably flat? Then I agree. That’s what kinetic is for.
