Got the bad news today

If I have an issue with my engine or trans my service guy says he will be sure it's covered. Someone I have met said that once a warranty repair crosses a certain $$ amount Mopar wants everything, pictures and all service records and will look for a way to deny warranty. The dealer service department has little control over that.

That’s probably true, but factory based warranties are vastly better than aftermarket. Some aftermarket are better than others, but even if it’s covered, everything is delayed while they send someone out and they still try to get out of it.

Oh, experience there with the Stratus we had for a while. Took forever. They approved the first head, but when it happened again -nope, so we traded it as it sat.

Didn't have to - have the pic already here to keep track of voltage issues. Name some other area - bet I already have pics - thousands of them. Ya think I'm running out in 0 degrees to get a pic? HAHA - no way. Today is another stay in the house, stay warm, work on the stamp collection. Even the mail can wait.

Yes, in modern vehicles they can monitor everything, especially since all modules are CANBUS linked. Great for techs and honest people, bad for liars (including service advisors).

Service dept, can or have "accidentally" wiped some systems at times.
I'm not a trusting person. I've experienced to many people who lie even though there is no reason for it. Along with quite the opposite, some ####heads lie always even. When I known a person is from certain places I automatically know they are more prone to lie about everything and sometimes they don't even think they are. A reason why I normally try to know where someone is from, some locations the people are endemic to that. 57 years experience with meeting people from about everywhere.
An example of some of it I finally received something I bought on Ebay today. The seller perked around on shipping it for several weeks, and added a no refund clause on the sale. Same on a different seller on several Jeep parts I've been wanting on for several weeks now too. So about the time the two parts arrive the refund window will be over. Gotta put away phone, pour a glass of bourbon and stay off Ebay. No bourbon was involved in them.
