My favorite to shoot is my Springfield 1911. I have a 10-rd mag and Recover frame that my light attaches to. I'm tempted to go RDS to complete the "when things go bump in the night" tool.

Carry is G48. Back-up/bag is G17 w/ Swampfox RDS.

Waiting on my .224 barrel I ordered in May. :swear: That build is on hold; AeroP/Magpul parts. That's build #3 for me. I have another one I'm building cheap; found a complete upper (-BGC & CH) for $120 on PrimaryArms.com. And a chest full of parts/odds & ends.

Wife wants to build her own, so I got all the parts in a shoebox, waiting for her to actually build it.

I made my better half a tricked out Ruger .22 for her to match her Kitchenaid appliances.

What are your favorites?
what are my favorites? err.... mhmmm... YES?

- an integrally suppressed Ruger 10/22 takedown on a magpul x-22 stock
- Sig P320 Xfive Legion - my favorite for a range day
- an integrally suppressed Ruger 22/45 with hogue grips
- a couple of "scary and evil" rif... pist.. othe... firearms in various calibers
- a 9mm XDM because I bought it before the 10 round mag law here in CT, so I have a few normal capacity mags
and a few other items that I also lost in an unfortunate boating accident

I can tell you what is NOT my favorite:
- Taurus PT140PRO - no matter how much i cleaned the darn thing it was malfunctioning constantly (there is a review out there that says that anybody who poo-poos this gun just didn't clean it and didn't get enough time on it) I say it's QC issues, and sure, I didn't, cuz it's the only gun that was malfunctioning every 5 rounds!
- Walther PK380 which looks like one of my first .22 - P22, but has different manual of arms and after about 150 rounds looked like it's had at least 10000 rounds put through it.

Yep...I'm an advocate of everyday carry...if my username didn't give a little bit of a hint. ;)
Thankfully, I live in the country and have enough property to target shoot, both handguns and rifles.
If you don't hear some gunfire in the distance, something is seriously wrong in my area.

Of all the firearms I have, my Mosin Nagant M38 is my favorite.
Gotta love throwing flames out of a barrel.

I love shooting my Mosin Nagants as well. I bought my first one, the carbine with the foldable bayonet, about 10 years ago for $80. I then bought the full length rifle a year later for $120. I think they're much more expensive now. The joke was that you could arm your neighborhood for less than $800.

Yeah...back around 2005 I bought 3 cases of ammo, around $130 per case. Each case has two spam cans , totaling 880 rounds.
I think I have at least two cases left, but damn if it's not so ridiculously expensive now...wish I had bought more at that time.
And this ammo is steel core, so I've punched holes through AR500 armor plating at 100 yards...pretty impressive.

I still have one spam can of that ammo, it's older than I am and from Bulgaria, be careful shooting this stuff up because the salts from the Berdan primers is corrosive. I keep a jug of Windex with ammonia handy for when I shoot that ammo, after I finish shooting and the barrel cools down, I pour the Windex down the barrel from the chamber down through the muzzle. The ammonia neutralizes the salts and keeps the barrel from rusting.

I'm partial to a couple. My 1944 original Springfield M1 Grand that still shoots lights out. A Seekins precision custom AR build in 224 Valkyrie that will reach out well over 1000 yds and smack steel plates all day. And possibly the most enjoyable gun to shoot EVER, the Browning BAR A2 (i don't own it, but I get to shoot it anytime I want).

Actually my son and I do a lot of WWII re-enacting which allows us to play grown up "Army" but only with real guns. There's really nothing like shooting a belt full of 30 cal out of a Browning M1919 on a tripod or a 50 cal Ma deuce on top of a half track. Or laying down covering fire with the BAR while the "squad' advances or stops a Japanese Banzai attack.
