Halogen headlight bulbs changed to LED..No high beams?

Hello to all! I am needing some help if possible. I installed LED bulbs in my Halogen headlights. In the literature it state dual beam low & high. Well as my luck would have it ( Murphy and I are close relatives) when I clicked on the high beams the fog lamps went off as they should but no high beams. Just stayed on low beam only. I got Jscan for this purpose even though the literature said plug and play. I went to both LED High/Low beam settings and clicked " activate". But it made no difference. Is there something else that I should have done with Jscan? Did I miss something? Thanks to all for any help or suggestions!

The LED bulbs were Roadsun. They say H13/9008.

If they are plug-and-play bulbs, then adjustments with JScan are not necessary. Change the settings back to what they were and see if it works.

Unfortunately I tried it that way as well . In my case it made no difference activated or not activated.

Yup. I tried a few different LED bulbs also for my headlights and the high beams never really worked as advertised. I think the OEM design is meant to only work (as intended) with regular bulbs And the LEDs will never reflect correctly. I just ended up settling with the expensive super bright Sylvania halogen bulbs. The only LEDs that ended workin well for me were for the fog lamps.

I replaced the original bulbs in my 2022 Sport with SEALIGHT H13/9008 Bulbs https://a.co/d/6FXFCVx . The results were impressive on both low and high beams. Also, I've used this brand in two other halogen-to-LED replacement applications with great results as well.

Perhaps this brand will work better for you.

I've used oracle LED bulbs and the high beams work.

Thanks to all. I don't know if it is the brand of the bulb or just putting them in a 2023 model? Not finding something on jscan to set/change? I just didn't want to buy a different brand and the same problem.

I am using Beamtech's in my 2022. No JSCAN changes needed. Hi beams work fine, low beams work fine, light pattern looks fine, no flickering. Going on two years now.

How did you like the Sylvania? I am looking at the Silver Star Ultra as an option. I just truly don't like the yellow color of the OEM. Did you see much improvement? Thanks

When I look at Beamtech H13 I see two different ones. It looked like one as no cooling fan and the other does? Which one do you recommend? Between that and Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Halogen would you all do? They are about the same price. I don't want to have to return LED'S again due to no high beams. Pretty sure the halogen headlight will work. Input from those whom have used either is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all!

I would look at swapping to LED assemblies and forget the bulbs. It will cost a little more, but you already have Jscan to make any needed changes.

I used these way back when. They worked well for me. Looks like the price dropped significantly online from when I bought them 3 years ago.

I didn’t have the high beam issue.

The photo kinda stinks but I do remember them being significantly brighter than the halogens.

I live in snow country so I wanted to stick with halogen to keep the snow from icing up the headlights.
