Alright, new here. First post.
Recently a front end accident Gladiator sport has come up for sale in a upcoming auction. The perfect candidate for a project I've wanted to do for a while. Hemi swapped gladiator.
I swapped a hemi in my last truck and I am familiar with the platform. From what I have read the 6.2 and 6.4 drop in nicely.
Now I imagine it's still gonna sell somewhat high for a written off truck, and I don't mind paying the price, I also don't mind paying good money for a 6.2 SC/ 392 pallet , my issue.....axles...or the price of them. 20k for built Dana 60s???
What other routes could I take...obviously the Dana's out of the 3/4 Rams would work but they're to wide (?)
Has anyone had any luck getting a shop to chop them down?
Or are their any other options you can think of. Cause I cannot justify 20k for axles on a weekend warrior garage build.
