How long did your windshield last before cracking?

I've had my 2020 Sport since May of 2019 , 33,000 miles on it . My windshield has been replaced twice .

I installed the Jeep wind deflector on the hood a long time ago. It does seem to reduce the hits somewhat.

Do you a picture of that you can share? I've been thinking about the same, but haven't looked into it too much yet...

Finally caught a rock a couple weeks ago and it’s spreading fast now.

Two weeks...saw the rock coming from a pickup truck tire on a city street doing 45mph. Gorilla glass,

Had a small rock chip at about 2 months. Too small for the Safelite guy to bore out and fix. He squired some epoxy(?) on it and smoothed it out.

Now at 16 months --- now issues.

Are windshield cracks a thing with Gladiators?

Make sure you say you want the OEM window. If you don't you won't get one.

Original windshield and 40k miles on my 2020 I've owned since September 2019. I also sold a 2015 JKU with 70k miles with the original glass. If you want to keep reading, I'll explain. I make sure not to follow too close to anyone. I stay at least twice as far away as I would if I was driving any other car (speed-dependent, of course). I don't follow ANYTHING with dual rear wheels, a lift kit, or oversized tires. If I have to, I stay around 50 yards behind (at highway speeds). Most of the time, someone else will take the bait and move over in front of me acting as a blocker. I've also learned to use the Rain-X DIY windshield repair kit. While it doesnt always make the rock chips disappear, it does always decrease them by 70-80%. I've never had a chip spread which, to me, is the real goal behind a repair.

My new 2022 Gladiator made it 7 months. The dealer I bought it from includes a free 6 month windshield replacement, but it cracked the month after it expired

18 months, 21000 miles. I'll leave it for now because putting a new windshield in would just be tempting fate!

Funny thing is, the crack changes direction ever so slightly and moves a bit further along every time I run the defroster! I'll probably replace it when it reaches an edge....

I made it 4 days ..... I picked up my new '22 JTR Gobi on December 7th and took a rock to the windshield on December 11th that created a nice ~8" crack in the Gorilla Glass.

Fortunately my insurance has $0 deductible glass coverage, so I've already got my second windshield. Let's see if I can make it a few weeks with this one?!?!?

I made it 1 year 3 months. When it happened I thought the wife popped some bubble wrap.
