I put a question to Bard (Google's AI engine) about the hurricane engine.
Interesting, I hope its right.

Paste below of the conversation.

Is the hurricane engine coming to the gladiator?

There is no official announcement yet, but it is very likely that the Hurricane engine will come to the Gladiator in the near future. The Hurricane engine is a new 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine that is being developed by Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep. The engine is expected to produce around 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, which would make it a significant upgrade over the current 3.6-liter V6 engine that is offered in the Gladiator.

The Hurricane engine is also expected to be more fuel-efficient than the current V6 engine, which would be a welcome improvement for Jeep owners who are looking for a more fuel-efficient truck.

It is not yet clear when the Hurricane engine will be available in the Gladiator, but it is likely to be offered as an option in the 2024 model year or later.

What about the wrangler?

Yes, the Hurricane engine is coming to the Wrangler. It was announced in March 2023 that the Hurricane engine will be available in the 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The Hurricane engine is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. It will be available in both the two-door and four-door Wrangler models.

The Hurricane engine is a significant upgrade over the current 3.6-liter V6 engine that is offered in the Wrangler. It is more powerful, more fuel-efficient, and produces less emissions. The Hurricane engine will also be available in the Gladiator pickup truck in the 2024 model year.

So, what do y'all think?

It's read our forums, Facebook, and other rumor sitws and generated a response based on that since that's how it works. The wrangler section is completely wrong given it wasn't introduced for MY24 which the order guides are already out.

IF it does come (and that's a big if) it will be a diesel replacement. And just like the diesel it won't be available in manual, so I don't care.

I want it badly for the rest of you who want it. Enjoy your trucks and enjoy them more when they are faster. But no 3rd pedal equals no fun for this guy.

Now if a non boosted straight6 3.0 wants to make its way into the gladiator as a 3.6 replacement with more low down torque and a manual, we can talk. But that's about as likely as me getting the 5.7 manual I really wanted I'd imagine.

I think posts of "I asked AI this question" are the most useless posts ever. They're worse than ESS, oil threads, and the 'what lift should I get' nonsense by a big margin. They aren't looking for any kind of answer, they contribute nothing, and bring absolutely no new information to anyone.

AI like this doesn't think or make decisions. It parrots what it can find. And often can be wrong (even in easily verifiable things like simple math). What it spits out is a novelty, but useless.

Try asking it why it's wrong. I think the outcome speaks for itself. It pretty much admits it won't be right or reliable.

There are 500hp (HO Hurricane) mule versions of the T-Rex being tested.

ChatGPT said this

As of now, Jeep has not officially announced that the Jeep Gladiator will have a Hurricane Inline-6 engine. However, there have been rumors and speculations about the possibility of the Gladiator receiving a new 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine, which has been codenamed as the "Tornado." If this is true, this new engine could offer more horsepower and torque than the current 3.6-liter V6 engine that is available in the Gladiator. However, until Jeep makes an official statement, it is uncertain if the Gladiator will receive this new engine.
