We’ll find out soon enough. My money is on the non-ho version of 3.0L and the phev option.

That combo would flip JT sales on its head.

Throw in the FFloat rear end option pls jeepcares…
I would agree with that speculation

No chance on the Hurricane and only the High bread offered makes my future easy. No one has a Supercharger for the '22+ due to the computer. It's going to be a few years till I make a change. The world will be different by then.

Are they canning the Charger launch completely, or just the EV version of the car??
Nothing on LB has been cancelled.

It's still EV first, ICE second.

The build ramp up is happening now. Windsor is producing cars now, it's just not at full volume yet, and IHS isn't showing, and Stellantis isn't sharing, when that will be.

Should have been in June.

never buy the first year of a new model boys.

Thanks for the details. I am kinda surprised they didn't swap the launch order given the softening in EV sales.

The "softening" of EV sales is clickbait that reinforces peoples beliefs.

By the aggregate numbers, overall, EV sales across the board are up this year, same as every year since 2012.

Across the board, what's down, is high dollar, mid to upper price range vehicles. The same factors that have Pecos Bill Edition Secret Squirrel Gladiators sitting on lots have Tesla's and Mach E's sitting on lots.

At the lower end of the price range, across the board, sales are up significantly. Chevy is selling out of Blazer's and Equinoxs. Stellantis would be selling out of Renegades, if they had them.

Pushing the Cherokee out is an interesting move, because it's the low end of everyone's line up that's selling now.

Points one and two: Exactly. People are less likely to spend big money on vehicles if there is economic uncertainty and high interest rates. My biz is down this year and paying 7-8% or more on a $65K truck wasn't in the cards.

Point 3: The Cherokee needed to be put down and replaced. We looked very seriously at Cherokees last year- she loved the looks of them and waxed nostalgic for her ZJ. Then we drove it. Boring is an understatement and the interior had more plastic than a Vegas pool party. It was smaller than the competition, had an anemic drivetrain, and the smaller Compass could do just about everything the Cherokee could with better MPG. For the price (low 40's) you could get a fully loaded Outback, a well equipped Bronco Sport, Sportage, gasser RAV4 and CRV, maybe a hybrid.

They should have had a Cherokee replacement on deck before they killed the previous generation, though.

If the put the Hurricane in the Gladiator I will buy one. I rented a new Wagoneer with that engine it was awesome. It would be even better in the Gladiator.

Down at the Jeep dealership a few days ago. I’ve bought three recently. An ETorque, Pentastar, and Ecodiesel. The Ecodiesel is the only one that’s practical for pulling anything. Great fuel economy too but the reliability has been unreal. Five trips attempted from Salt Lake to Missoula and only actually made it once without a failure. One catastrophic.
The sales manager at Salt Lake Valley Jeep said we will see a Hurricane Six very soon. Incredible specs but… I can find nothing on the Internet to substantiate his claim.
Has anyone actually heard or seen anything?
I’m starting to think he was mistaken or confused.
Sales managers don't know squat. They like to talk, speculate and say "I heard that.........." but they don't know. Even the sales guy I use who pays out of pocket to go to special factory training can't say other than "it would be nice, we have it in............."

That's very true. But the issues we are seeing are big ones, not rattles and leaks. All or most of the so-called offroad vehicles are having troubles due to EPA standards. You can only squeeze so much mileage and so much power from an engine before it becomes unreliable. The continuation of all this is the end of the gas and diesel powered vehicles, which is the goal I believe. People need to be voicing their displeasure with these companies and their practices. Nothing will change unless people complain. I have yet to talk to one owner of a Jeep electric who is happy with his vehicle.
If you mean like a 4xe JLU), you haven't talked to my wife - or me.
LOVE it and would do it again in a heartbeat. It's got guts just shy of a hemi in some respects, and has torque from the second your foot touches that pedal. Reliable and for where we live, we hardly ever have to put gas in it. Many of her trips are on all-electric, and what other 4x4 vehicle as capable as a Wrangler can you drive 25 miles for under 2 bucks. Yeah, the future may see different talk, but for now, she loves it, I love it, and she's thrilled with the quiet, smooth as silk drivetrain and the fact - gas stops are rare for HER driving.

Voice your displeasures to the EPA and mandates coming from non-elected people who get into an agency and make rules. The auto makers must comply.
Jeep high-ups have screwed up and made major mistakes, but the CAFE standards are also partly to blame.

Well, now I have one! But the rest of my message is still valid. None of this government intervention in the free market will matter if they win. Unless people like you and me and the others on this site start complaining to both the EPA and the auto makers, we will lose this fight. In principle, I have nothing against electrics. My complaint is with this constant pressure on the auto makers to comply with standards that are not achievable at present. When it goes so far that big automakers like MB and Volkswagen have to cheat in order to meet a goal that is unachievable, we have gone too far. Whoever is running the show at Stellantis has lost touch with his market. If you are going to charge $60K plus for vehicle it better darn well come close to what the market wants and will pay for. I have a young mechanical engineer friend of the family who works for Ford and he just laughs when I talk about what the market thinks and asks for. But as my son who works for MB says, the real money is in after sales service, not auto sales. Just curious but how many miles do you have on your electric Jeep?

Sorry to hear this. The EcoDiesel is the only reason why I bought the Jeep Gladiator, and it hasn't disappointed. The Gladiator and the diesel/8 speed auto have met and exceeded my expectations.

TFL confirmed that the 4xe is the only engine update, and that was based on the official announcement from Jeep's CEO. They went on to say that any future powertrains will need to wait until the next generation, which they seemed to believe would be 2029.
