I can say as someone who sits at a desk all day (for the most part) that you can indeed come home with a sore back from sitting in a desk all day. Lol. I do have to add however, that i am an engineer and the work i do does turn into real world applications in the aerospace industry. Its not a useless data entry or answering phones type job that i think you are referring to. I create things using my brain, just not my hands like i used to. Without engineers the labor workers would be sitting around the shop twirling their thumbs with no process or design to follow.

A good engineer is a true marvel - some of the things that have been done, built, etc. and some of it I just sit and marvel at. It was a fleeting thought for me but here's the kick you'll like - when I was deciding what direction to go for school - I thought it was too much work!

Lol. Engineering is hard work for sure but its the only career i could think of outside of medicine that has meaningful real world applications. America is all about new ideas and bringing those ideas to life thanks to the freedom of thought we have here (maybe not much longer). And to be able to live in work in that sphere is a blessing!!!

Most company names get recognition and credit for these "modern marvels" when in reality it was a group of engineers working for said company that deserve the credit!

Following winter I went over 100k warranty and one piston decided to kiss the valves on a very cold start after sitting for a week while I was on vacation. It was roughly $2,000 for long block and just under $1,000 for labor at shop I I had worked at in high school.

This was about 17 years ago. My 2012 wrangler went 92k in 10 years with no issue. I know there was a recall on early 3.6 wrangler.

My wife and were just talking about how ours will sit for months and start right up every time! Iyt has no power, but it is super reliable.
