Why not use it??
My wife had a blast pulling this stump out. Side note: I don't know about other synthetic winch lines but the one that came on this DV8 winch was wet at the time and black water was being rung out of it by the winches and causing a black puddle under the bumper that when I first saw it scared me to death.

I have used mine to pull out a dead tree, couple loads of bricks. Was glad I had it

Just remember when using the truck as the anchor, put it in neutral and apply the foot brake.

@JWM PLAYS Years ago I had to pull out fence post with about 30" diameter of concrete. I went for my F250 but the wife's Subaru Justy was in the way........ threw that Justy in 4wd and pulled out about 300 lbs of concrete with the end post. Wish that I had pictures.

I've used it to pull a few deep rooted bushes. Same when I had my LJ.

When she was winching, the truck was in N, and the parking brake on. I had the hood up to act as a shield and I was sitting in the drivers seat with my foot on the brakes.

Why can't you keep the truck in park?

I even like to put them into 4wd to help lock the wheels, especially if relying on the parking brake. (not a safe idea)

I've used my winches to pull all kind of things. Moved a shed with it. Pulled bushes and hedge out. Pulled a porch down. Moved trees. Pulled a 800 lb gun safe up basement steps.

Self inflicted. That's the worse thing.
My pulley system was so ingenious though, finally used all three snatch blocks I have. Any engineer would have been proud, I was just a 4x4 on the edge of the tailgate short of genius.

I have a Ramsey Patriot 9500, we used it to make sure the neighbors tree fell in the right direction.
