No rush, but if and when someone does a V8 swap, if you have a low miles, no problems, 3.6 and transmission you’re looking to unload, please look me up. I’ve decided to keep my JT for the long haul, and I’m sure it will need a repower eventually. Thanks in advance.

Also... how much plus shipping?
I’d drive to another state with a trailer for the right set of take-offs at the right price.

Reach out to AMW 4x4 in Michigan. They pull new OEM engine and transmissions on a daily basis. My JT is there now and the 3.6 was just pulled, it had less than 100 miles.

Are you letting them sell the take offs, or are you doing it?

All of the take off parts from my build are AMW’s. I was given credit to use against my build costs.

Perhaps if Ryan makes a call he can get you a discount or some thing or you offer a better number to Ryan and it might work out. It would be a lot of good PR for AMW!
Two guys from Colorado should be able to get this done, even if one is a nutcase, not mentioning names!……Jack

I am leaning toward a 6.4 swap in the next month. I was given $5000 credit for the 18,000 mile engine/trans. Not sure where your money is at, but $5K is a bit spendy.

I agree that it seems high. Maybe not for one with less miles though. But as much as I’d love a v8 in my Jeep, it’ll never pass emissions. I’m not having that fight every year.

This is second time I have worked with AMW. The first one was a 6.4 swap into a JL and I was given a $3000 credit for a 40k mile 2.0L with Transmission. The JT build they are doing for me now is a turnkey so they gave a credit for more than just engine and trans but my best guess is it’s probably in the same ballpark.

Do you happen to know their hourly rate for labor? Their website lists the hemi swap prices and "does not include 48 hour of labor" so I'm just wondering what that is billed at 50/hr? 100/hr? 200/hr?

They don’t have a fixed rate, different services are billed at different rates but in general it’s between $100-150 per hour.
