I don't see this overpaid idiot turning around anything.

He thinks that adding incentives will solve his problems. He completely ignores the fact that Jeep has shown utter indifference towards ongoing quality issues for years, and Jeep dealers are just terrible in terms of competence and customer service.

Stellantis lives in a bubble: executives' main concern has been, and remains, maximizing profits for investors, that is it; quality and customer service are afterthoughts. Things will only change the day they wake up from their stupor.

Except the consumer does want the 4xe. That's why they sold 60,000 of them in a year. Saying the average Wrangler won't see so much as a dirt road is an understatement. There's a reason they have as much equipment as any other SUV now - it's because off-roaders are the extreme minority buyer for what is now a lifestyle vehicle.

Electric is the future and gas engines will ultimately disappear. I for one am 100% for it if they can get around the battery capacity/charging issue. An electric 4-motor SUV is the perfect off-road design.
I'm going to disagree with you about how many "want" the 4xe

I'll use myself as an example

Last year I was ready to trade-in/sell my 2013 JKU (had a 2007 JKU before that) and when I went looking for a new JLU, he ONLY Wranglers I could find (in my area) were 4xe's

So, I had a choice, buy a 4xe or not

I picked NOT

This is what lead me to my JT

So, I question how many actually WANTED a 4xe vs. how many purchased a 4xe due to nothing else available

The new grille, in my opinion,
has contributed in part
to the decline in Gladiator and Wrangler sales.

The iconic Jeep grille bars
have been obfuscated.
The headlights are transitioning
into the grille opening
further contributing to grille dysphoria.

Stelantis cut off their face despite their nose.

If you miss the grille bars on your '24
The 2024 grille is interchangeable
with previous JL grilles.

I was hoping to read that the CEO was forced out on his a$$….but no.

There are two issues Stelantis faces. One is poor quality and the second is pricing.
If you look at the graph in the article here..

you’ll see that in 2019 Jeep pricing was below the industry average…so that it was affordable to the average working stiff. Now they are getting about $6000 more per transaction than the industry average and people just don’t see the value.

With the poor quality and lack of performance Jeep has against its competitors it’s not rocket science to see that Tavaris has steered the ship to the brink of a cliff…
Pricing is one part of the problem. The main issue or concern is quality control if we’re looking at buying a Jeep now. They have some mess at the plants with engineers or lack thereof, and the plan they had to replace and let go of personnel. You can hear it from the audio of some of the union plant workers. If they are telling you and trying to correct the issue and they receive blow back from doing so or get laid off, Then your Brand is going to take a hit.
I’ve said this before, they’re playing catch-up with CAFE and development of new ICE/hybrid/EV options. Meanwhile, the other auto manufacturers have their choices available to the public and dare I say reasonably priced.
So now you have all of this backlog of inventory on lots as a result. Of course, the dealers have some culpability in that too, but at this point as a consumer, I wouldn’t trust the brand and what I would be getting if I decide to buy a new vehicle

I guess it depends where you’re at, and what you’re going to use the vehicle for. I’ve considered waiting on a hybrid pick up. While still having somewhat of the same capabilities of the JL. Before that, I was heavily interested in the 3 L diesel, I just have concerns about the engine design and how long it would last.

I mean let’s face it, the only way to turn it around would be a Mojave Diesel.
It would seem to me maybe this has been the case for some years now with jeeps in particular, buy the body that you want and do your modifications and conversions after. It seems to me that engine swaps and conversions are fairly common. Maybe that’s the choice or way to go since Stellantis may not.

Get rid of everything in the lineup that doesn’t have a solid front and rear axle, bring back the xj if you want to keep the Cherokee. Make em all as reliable as a hilux or Land Cruiser.

But that’s not what’s going to happen. Instead they will continue marching down the road of making Kia’s that say “JEEP” on them that nobody wants. I’d rather they just trash everything overnight by going straight ev in 2025. It would make all the gas gladiators instant classics.

It's just not Jeep brand in trouble. Anything Stellantis is involved with in the US market is doing very poor. They continue to brush customers off when vehicles have problems leaving lots of customer spending money out of pocket. My Ram 3500 has been in and out of the shop for 9 months and they still can't fix it. They refuse to giving me a rental replacement anymore since they exceeded $10k. The lack of owning the issue and helping customers out. They are bleeding out all the loyalty of the past brands.


Vehicles are expensive from any manufacturer right now and I do not think pricing is the issue. If anyone continues to build the jeep brand people will always buy jeep. The jeep brand is strong enough people will over look most issues as long as it keeps driving.

In 17 months….I’ll break even selling my 2023 Ram to the nearest used car lot. This is my 7th and last late model Stellantis vehicle of any variety. My 2002 TJ needs a little engine work and it’ll be back on the road.

No, it's THE PRICE. They jacked up prices so high that they shut out a massive segment of their market. Even back in 2019 as the were creeping into the mid $30ks it was having an impact on their customers' ability to afford them. Now they're just plain ridiculous.

The ONLY reason I bought a Gladiator is I got almost 30% off msrp. And it was STILL expensive at that price. The sticker on this thing was almost $63k. It's nice, but in no way is it $63k nice. It's absurd. There's a $25k GREED premium at least.

Which should never be the case. Historically, vehicles depreciate. This money-printing extravaganza has distorted pricing so bad it might never recover.
I bought when Ram was begging to sell anything.
