I agree!! We cant make everyone happy however i do understand some peoples frustrations. I would love for the future JPP Hub store to give us a hybrid Rubicon Mojave style hood that has real heat rejection functions and air intake ability.

You'd be surprised, maybe even shocked (my guess based on what you said) to find that Jeep, and in fact, all companies, spend massive amounts on market research before releasing such things. Participate in a few of those things and you'll find out just how far they go to determine what will move or not.

Interesting that forum people say "no one asked for it" without any basis in fact - while some of us have actually participated in said research - and asked for such things.

Keep it up. I actually got a call after I bought my first JT and made some comments on the seats - both good and bad, with a suggestion. They literally called me to ask more.
While you probably will win a few hundred on a scratch ticket first - it does happen.

What a waste of time. Do something different. They keep pulling the same legos out of the box and expect people to be excited. Throw a hemi in it, A fun manual transmission. Up the tow rating, put the hurricane in it. Make a two door version. Something, anything other than some paint, stickers and a new name.

2025 is now 7,000 pounds per the specs.

Since the frame is beefy (more than the Rubicon), has the same gear ratio and tires as the Rubicon and so on, it sort of makes some sense.

Yes, but that has nothing to do with the fact that these have throttles that give you the last 2/3 of response at the end of the throttle pedal travel. It's like a SBC with a Quadrajet - your first 3/4 of throttle pedal travel is only the tiny primaries, then that last bit opens the larger secondaries, giving it full carb CFM at the last.
If these came factory with a selection for "sport mode" where the throttle was remapped more linear, and it changed the shift patterns, I suspect at least a few people would be more happy with the 3.6.
In stead, you have to travel well past 50% throttle pedal to get even 1/3 of the throttle body response. It's far from linear.

I love that there is “pedal” at the end of the accelerator stroke. My Wrangler kicks nicely at that last 1/4 throttle. I haven’t tried my Gladiator yet.
I noticed a lot more response at the early part of my Gladiator throttle though. Coming from a stop it takes less “pedal” to get rolling than my Wrangler.

They were "rated 6,000" - not sure where the change came in - was it cooling along with other factors?
What would they have changed suspension-wise to aid in the extra towing?

Well,,, the GX550 is faster, tows more and gets better MPG with a better ride and less problems. But not as good off road.

15-21 is better mpg? A stock Jeep will whomp that easily. (and if you modify your Lexus, you know that 15-21 will take a dump, too)

A Sport max tow has a higher payload.
TFL wasn't impressed with the luxury SUV's towing. Many consider the tow rating grossly overly high.

On the other hand, why are we comparing a luxury SUV to a TRUCK?

You're asking for a drastic re-design. There's no way that would happen on a mid-year refresh. Maybe in 2028 or so.

For those who want more horsepower (I'm satisfied with the 280 or whatever the 3.6 has), why can't Stellantis offer the straight 6 turbo that they use in the Ram? I have read it has to do with the length of it or something but I have the 4.0 straight 6 in my '99 TJ and there is still room. Even if they had to add a couple of inches to the frame, would that be such a major and/or expensive change?

They would have to totally recertify it for every little thing -
Crash testing, of all types, evaporative emissions, engine bay changes as well as other structural changes, it's not as simple as drop it in and sell it.
If they move a single fan in these, they have to document it and submit it all to the EPA.

I suspect it would fit - maybe.......... but there's a lot of hoops to jump through.

What's the length of the TJ rear of radiator to firewall?? (vs. the JT)
