Seems like the incentives and dealer discounts are working (as expected) here in NY. Starting to see more on the road, and noticing them disappearing from dealer sites- particularly dealers who advertise decent discounts upfront. Purchased my Rubicon last week at almost 7% below invoice, which was previously unheard of without driving a few states away. I still think Jeep could sell a lot more of the lower trim levels by sprucing them up just a touch- maybe just black out the rims etc... In comparison to other midsize trucks or even full size trucks at the same price the sport and sport s models just don't show well on dealer lots. To sell volume of those trims in the hypercompetitive truck market I think they need to attract buyers who are not already Jeep people- and that is where the struggle is. If someone is just shopping for a midsize truck at 40k a Ranger XLT or Tacoma SR5 just don't look quite as basic as the sport/ sport s. Also, in my shopping experience some dealers are still totally unrealistic with their price expectations. I shopped my local dealer 3 times for the same Rubicon that has been there since last June, they still refuse to move from msrp, even when presented with my purchase agreement at almost 7% under invoice from a dealer an hour away.

Yeah, fine print shows a $1395 dealer prep fee for trucks and a $895 dealer processing fee not shown in that pricing. So $2290 is lost right there.
Yeah agreed, this particular dealer not so good but the way these things are stacking up on the lots it won’t be hard to get fully loaded Rubicon for $10,000 to $12,000 below msrp. It truly is a buyers market now, I feel sorry for all the guys jumping in line 9 short months ago willing to pay full msrp, that’s just crazy! IMO

Usually those types can afford it and dont care. I have seen MANY posts of JTs next to exotic cars, posters saying this is their Nth vehicle and they already have a Raptor/3500/etc, or they have added $10k in wheels, tires, and mods already.

I am sure the extra savings would matter to some people. It does to me. But, I honestly cant tell if the extra $2-5k in savings would be worth it. I wouldnt have 8k miles on my JT since November. And I’d have the stress of wondering if my other car would start as I had a newborn. I would have gotten another, more practical car, and never gotten a JT. At least I only paid Invoice (I think)

Yep, definitely something to be said for the 8000 miles of enjoyment!

Audi's and Mini's. No Jeep yet.....
Based on his logic, the Wrangler should also be a sales flop, because clearly, you could just buy a Renegade.

Mine is a ranch work truck and serves that role quite well.

Pricing and deals are crazy now,

Good information, not sure if the Author's POV of a Honda Fit Sport is a good qualifier for a non biased opinion.

Personally, I don't think any trucks are selling right now by the kind of discounts out there. I like my JT Rubicon. It came with a 2 inch lift and 37 inch tires. I installed the winch, bumper, lights, track bar, drag link, back yard align, and did the work myself. Fixed the death wobble that came with it. Satisfying when everything came out good and works well. Front end is solid now with the stock stabilizer. Jeeps are in a category by themselves and nothing out there is a Jeep but a Jeep, for what its worth.

Buy what speaks to you. To hell with sales numbers and auto rags.

Wow, compared to some of these sales numbers the JT isnt just struggling

266k+ sold is impressive
Is that true? 266k sold is amazing!

I rarely see one on the road, in fact I’ve only seen two around me. A red JT with red wheels on 285 west last week and a gcm JT (same color as mine) in Roswell yesterday.
