Old school steering wheel lock.

A bright color like this yellow is at least a deterrent to keep losers from not wanting to go through the trouble

Ravelco Anti Theft Device

It's not cheap. But you get what you pay for. Downside is your vehicle is now a bit more of a pain to start up (thought less of a pain than a Club i'd guess). They claim it's never been defeated once. No way to verify that though. Just remember if someone REALLY wants your vehicle you can't really stop them as no device will prevent a thief with a repo truck.
Yet ANOTHER theft thread and debate on how to stop it.
OP - do some searching and you'll find tons of posts.

As far as Ravelco - give me a small drill, VOM, and/or access to the engine bay and I'll be past that thing in no time.
I've had some chats with someone on the topic and did a ton of digging. They are absolutely lying about no thefts.
I've found two people who have posted about defeating it - and publicly told how they did it.

Yeah, a far better idea than some of the other stuff...... any casual thief who knows Jeeps at all will look for tazer and rip it out fast. Gotta hide it. (or whatever device is used)

And yeah, there's at least a half dozen huge threads on this.
I bet it wasn't a manual......
Might want to catch up on that old "manual transmission" joke ? - it makes for fun, but you'd be surprised at how many, including Z and Millennials who can drive them fine. And more are requesting to be taught how to drive them.

I had new tires put on my SX4 this week - they had no problems driving it and said it was easier than the Corvette they were also working on. Said everything there could handle a stick.

That's awesome that people still want to learn and drive manual. A few hours north of you in a city, i have to drive my vehicles in to service bays often because the techs can't drive manual.

We have this on three of our vehicles, and unless they tow it away with a tow truck they are not going to steal our cars. Basically it is three Kill switch’s in one going to three different components in your engine compartment. The wires are very well hidden under the hood. No thief is going to mess around with that headache. This system really really hard to beat………………………………………. P.S. I watched a automotive show where they tried to defeat the “”Ravelco”” lol….. of course it’s possible given enough time, but I watched them do all kinds of crazy stuff like shove a potato in there, which absolutely does not work as they showed in the show. All the wires are the same color. They’re all shielded and there’s three different circuits, and if you plug-in somebody else’s plug into yours, you will start blowing fuses and your electrical components for sure. However you still have haters out there that simply just hate everything and this system really really works. We sleep very well at night with this system on all of our vehicles.

Be sure to hide that Ravelco because someone trying to steal you Jeep may vandalize it when they see that theft measure. They may just chop all the wires on it. When the catalytic converter thieves try to steal them from your car when they see those anti-theft shields they typically cut brake lines wire harnesses and other stuff because they are mad you prevented them from stealing.

With a hidden kill switch or the other means I outlined in my post it isn't blatant that you have an anti-threft device. They may think they just were having trouble cloning or adding a fob to your vehicle and move on to the next Jeep...

I have layered defenses
1. Tazer with hood horn and pin enabled
2. Relocate horns so the wires can not be cut
3. MOST IMPORTANT Ravelco Anti Theft Device
4. Drone Mobile x1max-lte with glass and motion alerts
They may still get it but not in 45 seconds

Seriously, if you're to the point where you want a Ravelco, you could just start unplugging harnesses and fuses instead. Cheaper, easier, no giant bottlecap to manage, no mangling of wires, and a more dispersed solution.

Ravelcos are really only good for "park it and forget it" vehicles that are turned on only once in a blue moon. And even then, there's better ways to immobilize a vehicle without that monstrosity. I would never put it on a daily driver, and many reviews from actual owners echo that sentiment. You'll find those that still drink the kool-aid that is the Ravelco website, though.

Just started teaching my son on a dirt bike. Knowing how to drive a manual is something everyone should learn IMO even if they hardly ever use that knowledge.

Try to do some research - you'll find that guy has bought a ton of domain names and of course posts the praises of the devices on every one of them. I have never seen a company own so many domains - and have so many related FB pages. It was crazy - page after page of results with that company owning each different web site.
Control the information and control the market. (But I don't give up easily, so found a few things)
It reminds me of what a former Soviet Army officer told me years ago when we talked of his life in the USSR - road maps that were available to the public were not accurate, often leaving off certain roads, even complete "villages". He said - control the information and you control the people. Information is power, so hold information from the public.

Similar to what Kissinger said years ago - "control the food and you control the population".

They control the information out there very very tightly and will send nasty-grams to anyone publishing anything other than how perfect it is. An Aussie publication was "asked" to remove an article that they said was "inaccurate".

There are far cheaper ways of accomplishing the same thing - but better in the end.
If you think of the profit margin on the devices, you'd see that if they REALLY sold as many as claimed, he'd have no reason to work at all and certainly not answer the phone when customers call. (I think he answers so he can control the conversation from what I've seen and heard)

Will it slow someone? Yeah. But not hours.

There is a security action in the Tazer. You have to enter a pin before it will start.

BUT, I don't know if that will work if they get in and erase your fobs and program a new one in. That's their latest trick.
The pin code on the Tazer is independent of the factory fob . They can change codes all they want and no effect the Tazers code .

The pin code on the Tazer is independent of the factory fob . They can change codes all they want and no effect the Tazers code .
They can have 4 FOBS programmed in, and tazer won't allow a start no matter what.
You must either remove TAZER or know the code. Thus one member's quest to hide such a device so it can't easily be found and removed.
Tazer rides the bus and will block or interfere with certain communications unless a code Tazer knows is entered.

So the vehicle with a hidden device that allows pin locking can't be started even if a fob is programmed in via access to the bus star connectors, etc. It's going to cause problems even for the owner if they don't enter the code, even if they have the correct fob.

Also if you you buy 2 or even 3 wire extensions you can move the Tazer to almost any location under the dash . The extension wires look the same as all the wires under the dash that makes it even harder to find and locate the Tazer . One must also take some black electrical tape to cover up the Tazers flashing light so as not to find it so easily .
