Jeep Wave oil change analysis 5K mile OCI

Used my first Jeep Wave oil change and ran an oil analysis after 5K miles and change. Came back decent. Submitted it as a Mopar 0W-20 oil used and analysis shows it pretty close to a Pennzoil Synthetic product was used. Happy so far.

It is a Pennzoil according to MOPAR

It is still running the stock air filter. The high silicone on the first two samples is chalked up to sealant residue from assembly.

I pay $27 cad plus bottles for my reports. We have a lab here in Calgary I use so I drive over and drop it off in the morning and have my report emailed to me by 10am the next morning.

In Edmonton, there’s two labs, about the same price.

$35 in the US for Blackstone's basic testing. You contact them on their web site, they will send you a sample kit and the kit is free. You pay the $35 for the analysis. Once you send in your sample, they send you more sample kits.
You can add tests like TBN or TAN if you have a diesel, for example, but the basic standard tests is a decent story.

You can have all your components tested. If it has oil in it, they can test it and you can have the data on it to see how the metal numbers are trending.

You forgot fuel - they can test fuel for contamination as well. ........ (a lot more expensive, of course)

BTW O'Reilly's syn also meets MS6395 and I was told it is the same Pennzoil stuff.
