Bummer!
Was driving last week and had a rock it the glass. Scared the shit out of me. I was early morning and still dark so I didn't immediately see any thing. When the sun came up I found a chip. Center glass at the bottom. I bought one of those chip repair kits and applied it that day. It's been only a week but no evidence of a crack forming. Fingers crossed.

I'm in happened to me last week freaking dump truck still not sure if I want to get it resin filled or replace the whole windshield. It's a family tradition in my family every brand new vehicle we have bought within a month finds a rock

Well I’m in the crack head club . I didn’t see the hit at the lower bottom in the black . So it started crawling up & took a left when i parked it an hour later it moved another 6” ! Just like every JK I’ve had. AND i have the forward collision control outlined in the middle. So probably pricey.

Chip in mine second day out and was behind a car no dump truck around. Replaced glass in JKU and within a month had cracks again. Learned to live with the cracks, saw no reason to replace.

We got our first one as we were leaving the dealership. Just after I reminded my wife about our last jeep and how many rocks hit the windshield. 5 minutes later nice rock chip. We just looked at each other and smiled. Gotta love jeeps.

Trying to decide if I want to replace mine or just get it repaired. I got the 4 star chip crack going on but not bigger than a quarter. It's just above my line of sight. Quote was $599 from safelite for replacement and $155 for repair. I got another quote for just repairs from another place that said $72 and that if it ended up cracking after repair they use the $72 and then cover my deductible. I may go that route and see what happens. I know I didn't do anything when the jk got chipped and ended up with a crack all the way across the windshield

I'm hoping to never join this club on my gladiator but I did happen to have a similar story on my JK. When I bought my JK the very next day going to work rock hits my windshield bam! By lunch time the crack moved from driver to passenger side.

Well looks like I'm getting a new windshield. Went out to get in mine and it's cracked all the way to the top and bottom now. $100 deductible. Anyone getting theirs replaced, make sure you request that your insurance put the same windshield in that is in yours. They have a option that doesn't have the Willy's Jeep on the windshield. I made sure to tell them I wanted that option because the other option is $100 cheaper.

I had 3 in one month on my LJ with in 2 mile section of 565 in Huntsville. After 3rd one I said F@@@ it. Quit replacing I can live with it. I live in a county it's a requirement damn near

Well, I joined the club last night on my way home from work. I was being a courteous driver by merging in between two semi trucks to let traffic pass on left, heard a ridiculously loud crack sound and immediately saw a crack forming near the top middle. I called up my insurance today and switched to a $0 glass deductable plan. If this is going to be a reoccurring thing, I want to save some cash.

It's funny, I've owned 4 Jeeps and everyone one of them have had cracked windshields. Definitely a Jeep thing.

I joined this morning! so freaking aggravating! I cannot wait until someone comes out with a glass that is indestructible. I hope I can get it filled before it runs too bad.
