This is my only complaint with the diesels. Jeep just said F U to us all and made the payload nearly the worst in the fleet.

I wonder if using max tow rear springs would help the OPs sag

Sure. Then you end up with folks flying down the road at 70+ MPH with 2,000+ lbs in the bed of a pocket truck. :LOL:

A hummingbird once landed on the hood of my stock JTRD and the springs bottomed out. My theory is that Johnny from Airplane! spec’d the spring rate on the diesel as a gag.

Had to pick up quikrete for my new fence, 26 60lb bags had Maximus feeling a little light upfront at 70mph.. but he pulled 30mpg on a flat stretch still.... It is Moo Dog approved as you can see in the photo...

Can’t understand how you guys are getting 30mpg on your rigs, and loaded down like that! I can’t even get 25 mpg on the highway in my brand new stock rubicon completely empty.

Well part of it is I live in Iowa. Flat is flat can be around here. The other part is the type of diesel you put in.. I've seen as much as 10% fuel economy change depending on what diesel fuel I put in. Around here BP is the absolute worst! Kwik Star is the best the Sam's club believe it or not is neck and neck with Kwik Star.. and how you drive too.. I was able to pull off as high as 52 miles to the gallon on my VW sport wagon TDI. The best my wife could get on that was 38 mpg.. driving style makes the biggest difference

They're lying.
30x19=570mpg.
I would barely begin to believe a stock JLURD would get that and have seen NO evidence.

A loaded down JTD on 37s? Pfft.

My morning drive in to work 25 miles I reset when I left the gas station....

PXL_20221003_104937904.jpg
435/19=22.8947368421 MPG
135.09 miles short of 30mpg.
NTM the dash figures are grossly optimistic compared to hand calculated.
My best tank to date hand calculated is 21.5 combined and I drive like Ms Daisy.
My good ones are barely over 19 and if I let my foot goa little bit they run about 17.

Plus... How did you teach your Gladiator to show its current gear next to the selector?
I thought only wranglers did that.
