Are you using a spreadsheet or other charting app to track? This thread includes Overlands and regular non Max Tow trucks leaking RR.
Not sure about that one....but there are now a few of us that have already had it fixed once. (new axle shaft assembly installed) only to have it leak again in less than 1,000 miles. I am still leaning towards some sort of issue with machining of the axle housing or out of spec gaskets on a huge order of axle shaft assemblies. The reall "curve ball" to me is why it is almost exclusively on the passenger side. Whatever it is.....it seems to "common/consistent" to be a total one-off random event.4,000 miles now, towing and in the heat of summer. Not a drop on mine. Yet. But I did modify my breather tube cap on day 1 after delivery of the truck.
I went back through the first 4 pages of this thread and it seems that everybody with this leak has the wide track axle. I wonder what are the odds that the assembly line mistakenly installed the standard width axle shafts into the wide track axle tubes? Perhaps there's just enough spline to catch the side gears in the differential so that the truck is driveable, but the standard axle just doesn't fit perfectly and allows a leak?
Just a thought.. it's unlikely but...
I'm not tech savvy, but if someone wants to do that this thread has most of that info, mostly by looking at what vehicle they own under their name. Are you using a spreadsheet or other charting app to track?
Mine is currently in the shop for this issue and I don’t have the wide axles.4,000 miles now, towing and in the heat of summer. Not a drop on mine. Yet. But I did modify my breather tube cap on day 1 after delivery of the truck.

MDH is 033010 for me. It’s a 2021 80th Anniversary (Sport S) with regular width axles. I noticed the leak around 2,500 miles when it was enough to drip on the garage floor after sitting for a couple days.Haven't seen many MDH#s posted lately. What is your MDH# It's on a sticker on driver door b pillar(month, day, hour). Earliest in thread with leak is 9-30-2020, latest is 4-23-21.
that's a BAD one.. mine quit after changing the rear breather vent, but it was never like thatAdd me to the club. Rubicon. Right rear passenger. Diesel 2021 10K miles.

Mine is leaking on rear passenger. It is a Mojave 12-2020 build with 5,000 mi. I just had the oil changed and tires rotated. The dealership completed the "23 point inspection" and said all is good! Wow, they didn't even notice/mention the seal leaking!Haven't seen many MDH#s posted lately. What is your MDH# It's on a sticker on driver door b pillar(month, day, hour).
