I have a new LT1 that is going into my JTR soon. Have been waiting for a DIY kit to be available but tired of waiting. Had a JK with an LS3 in it and never had one problem with it. Better engine and transmission than the JT with a Hemi too in my opinion. My son still drives it with over 160K on it. Wish Jeep would be bought out by GM, darn it.

Depends on where they live they could registered and drive it. Where I live in TX we don't even have an inspection. We used just have a safety inspection to check lights, horn, brakes, windshield wipers and blinkers but there was still a lot of fraud going on with that so the state did away with that starting in 2025 but we still have to pay the $7.50 fee but no inspections any more. Some parts have an emissions test but most do not.
Texas is ripe with fraud disguised as "liberty".

No inspections, emissions, or anything here in Idaho. All they do is look at the VIN to make sure it matches the title, and give you plates.
CA expats already drove Idaho real estate through the roof :(

I looked at it…it was sold on 2/18. I plan on doing the same with my JT. Say what you will, but the GM 6.2 is the shit. I’m not a mopar guy, I’m a jeep guy.

My JK needs a new cat. Dealership says $2800 for the one. Fortunately no one in this state cares about emissions.

I hear you brother, no hate or disrespect. The vast majority will always piss in your cornflakes. If MD gets much more poptart like (trying to be PC) I have the will and means to remove myself from the shitshow and not complain about it.

Here in MD, your shit gets inspected upon purchase/titling and that's it. Then if its subject to smog testing, its every 2 years up until the vehicle is 20 years old or tagged as "historic" or "Street rod" BUT the smog shit can be solved with the right tuning. My previous vehicle to my JTM was a cammed and deleted Tahoe.......passed smog with flying colors

Cat codes can be taken care of via the tune....just saying
Do they not hookup OBDII there? A tuned car will fail immediately here. They literally network connect to the CA DMV computer systems during the test.... it's insane.
