I donāt think this has much to do with your tune at all Dave I really donāt. Itās not like your tuning these things lean to make as much power as possible, your going for safety and reliability. Iām curious what the A/F was at time of the failure. Itās a shame Ryan wasnāt data logging at that time it would have possibly helped you guys track the failure. Could have been bad fuel who knows. You would think if it was bad fuel it would have pulled timing etc. The fact is, we have rods and pistons in there that werenāt designed for anything more than N/A cylinder pressure. There isnāt a ton of guys running these blowers out there. The more guys that run them and put them through the paces, the more failures we will see Iām sure. How much boost does the stock pulley make?I have built in pretty stout torque management on the 850Re. The torque converter should unlock on a down shift and allow the gear to slide in. I actually have been working to make that a smoother transition.
This was complete unexpected as I have about 400 hours of data on this version of 2021 tune.
I have nothing solid to go off of here. Anything would be speculation.
And as far as how things are going, that is all Ryan he is being a very reasonable about this.
I am pretty rattled.
Before today I would of swore up and down this platform can be made to work reliably long term, now I have no leg to stand on
