Missing engine cover for new models (2022)?

My 1/22 build has no cover and no bracket, and I love it. I've always hated having things covered up, ESPECIALLY on something as "function over form" as the jeep. Design for Its own sake is overdone, and hides function, which ultimately makes people ignorant or apathetic to it. I mean, you can look anywhere on this forum and see that we like mechanisms and metal. Why add pointless plastic?

PROOf beyond a doubt! Gave both my engine “Beauty Covers” to fellow Gladiator owners wanting one on their 2022 Jeeps. While packing the last one to ship Friday this label on the cover fell off. So all arguments are over it is for looks and does look good if you want a cover, part number is on tag. ….Jack

Two things come to mind -

If it had physical linkage I could see move, I'd like it even more.

Years ago my sons even gave me a watch for my birthday that was called something like the machine watch - it had a cover with cylinders on the side sort of like the Redline Tuning hood props you can get for these trucks.

I just purchased my 2022 Gladiator Sport in February. It did not come with a cover so when I see the dealer I will ask where's the cover is....Mac

My ‘22JTR, build date 12/‘21, came with brackets, no cover. As far as covers go, they seem quite minimalist, so decided to order one. I just received it today!

Lots of posts on that - it's a given your 2022 won't have it.

Just discovered my newly purchased 22 has no cover. This is our 4th 3.6 and the first without a cover. Thanks to this thread, It has been documented and not the dealers fault or not stolen so I can sleep better at night. I still have to find one eventually for my truck to be complete though.....ocd.

It may or may not fit. At some point, they were going to remove the brackets

Very strange, I have not seen any WTB ads here for the brackets and covers. There's got to be a big demand for those since they were eliminated from production vehicles.
We'll see them on eBay soon for crazy prices.

Has anyone received a 2023 Rubicon yet? I just placed my order for my 2023 JT rubi and I would like to get that 813 compressor bracket before my order arrives. I already have the dual compressor from my Tacoma that I will take out and put in the JT.

From the looks of it, I think I could fabricate a small bent tab, unless 813 comes up with a new bracket.

Hey! I have gone through half dozen prototypes so far to try and rework the bracket but have not come up with one that I am happy with yet. But I will keep trying! I have had a few customers order the bracket that is needed and install it (the front one that was eliminated from Jeep) but I don't like to recommend adding anything to the engine. I have several other options for mounting the compressor, including a new Under the Seat mount about to arrive from production. Let me know if there is anything I can help with!

My 2020 Model has the cover but a few of my friends have removed theirs. I have considered pulling mine as well. The dust and dirt from off-roading is hard to clean off the cover.
