One of my first mods is replacing the front bumper to a stubby. I noticed that the Mojave edition has a special front skid plate. For anyone Mojave owners, two quick questions:
1. Did you have to remove that skid plate?
2. if you were able to keep the OEM skid plate on, did you have any limitations with the bumper that you chose because of the OEM skid plate?

Thanks!

I don't have a stubby and I don't think type is the issue. My Quadratec QRC had to have the center portion of the Mojave skid plate notched out to fit. Get the bumper you want and fit the skid plate as needed. I can't even tell my was modified w/o getting under the truck.

I have a rugged ridge Arcus front bumper. The OEM skid plate mounted up with zero modifications.

It’s a nice bumper. Although I am tempted to sell it and buy the aluminum version of the Rubicon upgraded bumper.

Yea, agree it probably doesn't matter whether it's a stubby, mid, full. I'd rather keep the OEM skid plate, and don't mind cutting into it. I just don't want to chop it up completely. Coincidentally, that's one of the bumpers I'm looking at. Quadratec isn't that far from me and they have a pickup window. I may just drive down there and ask them for their experiences with the Mojave bumper fits.

Thanks.

BTW, I've been searching for that "list", but still can't find it. If someone has it, can you post the link here? Thanks!

Thanks. I'm also looking at the Arcus. If you decide to sell yours, I'll buy it from you! lol

You could always cut up the bumper to fit and leave the skid plate as-is.

I have the same setup, Rugged Ridge Arcus with Harbor Frieght badlands winch. It’s a a superb setup and I think I only gained 75lbs on the front, which barely sagged me 1/4”. My Mojave still drives and feels like stock, so I’m happy with the results. My stock skid plate bolted up with zero modifications.

The Rugged Ridge Arcus front bumper worked on my Mojave with the factory skid. It is a stubby, very lightweight, steel bumper that comes with a winch plate.
