I browse every for sale site on earth searching for my deal of a century on these…. Waiting….
Set up an eBay alert with the part number. Might take a while but a deal will come.

Definitely swapping to these when my nFabs finish rusting themselves through (if I can find a set by then ?)

I’ve only seen a few pop up for sale, on Facebook they get berated on price because people think they’re the same ones that come standard on Rubicon/Mojave/Willys and should be priced at $50.

I was glad to find them preinstalled from the dealership on the lot. My family enjoys the step, but it's narrow enough that it may be a problem when coated with layers of ice in winter.

How good are these at actually protecting the truck from damage? I just picked up my JT and the previous owner put these on.

I had proper frame mounted rock sliders on my last vehicle, the JT is significantly longer and I worry about scraping. Just wondering if I need to be budgeting for real sliders.

I had them on my last JT and pounded them pretty good. Eventually I did dent the slider itself pivoting around a boulder but the slider did its job and kept damage from the body.

I was looking for a set for a while. But everybody within a days drive of me wanted the same price as a set of proper aftermarket sliders. So I went that direction.

if I could’ve got a set for 200 bucks or less like some people, that would’ve been all over that.

Bringing this one up again. Just can't justify currently spending close to $2,500 on RSE steps (https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...00-jt4-rock-slide-engineering-step-slider-kit). But the MOPAR performance rails can be had for $1,235 (https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-jeepandreg-performance-parts-rock-rails-82215606ab).

It turns out I dont 'need' a side step with the AEV 2.5' lift but still would like to better protect from rocks and winter gunk which these seem like they provide.

Do they bolt into the body mount bolts? I can't quite tell from pictures.... It looks like they just bolt to the body like the Rubicon rails do (https://s3.amazonaws.com/rp-part-images/assets/bf11980d520308f098a0ffaadc0b2e28.PDF)

No body mount bolts. They bolt to the body in the same places that the regular Rubi rails mount.

Reviving this thread.

I have RokBlokz and recently removed the plastic hinge covers to monitor any paint bubbling. But, I am unsure how much full protection the RokBlokz will provide.

Do the performance rails offer a significant and noticeable increase in protection from rocks/mud than just the RokBlokz?

Rails in my area are over $1,000 with a 15% discount.... So would like to know if they are really worth it prior to spending that coin.

Is it possible to saw an inch off the rail to make installing a mud flap easier? And do they stick out far enough to deflect shopping carts?
