after much debating with the dealership about the wire harness and ECU flashing they were trying to get me to pay for. They came across this STAR report.
Bottom line they are aware the controller isn’t working and there is no fix currently
well looky here!!!!!

Mine was built 11/19, obviously something was changed and the part needs to be updated to be compatible with earlier builds.

WAHOO!!! Well, my dealer tech DID contact STAR, a case was started, he reported the error codes, so if a few others did this exact same thing, we're getting results.
MEGA-MEGA thanks for this!!!!

Mine was built the first part November, 2019. I picked it up on 11/12/19 so it FITS.

There are so many great folks here who work really hard at figuring things out or trying to or helping to..........
That bulletin fits PERFECTLY.
Mine was built in the first week or so of November 2019.
It threw those exact same codes - and the dealer tech reported to - drum roll - STAR team........

After a @#$%#@ of a day with a blown water heater, pipes that didn't line up and multiple trips to town, this is a good day after-all.

Actually, this was QUICK in the grand scheme of things. The fix not so much, but their attention and getting this thing issued sure is quick.

Teamwork guys (oops, and gals!!)

Here's a couple of things to consider based on Jeep's communication -
It's not a harness difference
It's not a controller difference
It's apparently a TRUCK difference - I think I posted elsewhere - "what changed" one of the first questions of troubleshooting.
And since it's the truck - will they fix the TRUCK????? Or, band-aid with a diode?
Does this mean people with later JTs and a Redarc don't need the Ram harness?
---------------------------
EDIT - I READ THE Bulletin again - it says EITHER MOPAR OR AFTERMARKET BRAKE CONTROLLER!
This means the REDARC controller issue MAY BE A JT TRUCK issue as well - please users of other controllers look at that bulletin closely - I think they also mean those who had the SAME errors with Redarc controllers as well.
---------------------------
I'd better stop, my ADHD head won't slow down trying to figure this all out and I'll get no sleep tonight LOL

The codes my tech reported to star team....

So do we know what build dates are affected? Or even a good guess?

Mine was built February 2020. I haven't ordered controller yet. Does that mean my truck should be good to go if I buy mopar controller?

Buy at your own risk lol
But if it doesn’t work you can join the club with everyone else

So I don't remember seeing this answer and I've been following the complete thread. Have we determine that the controller needs to mount as received or as shown in the awesome directions.

I mounted as received because putting it the way the picture shows put pressure on the connections. I did try it as shown in instructions but turned it back to as received
