Thanks for all the comments and valuable input.
You‘re right, it’s high pressure fuel pump.
Heres the latest: I and the dealership have entered the Blame Game. The Service Tech claims there’s gasoline in my diesel fuel. A visit to the service bay and asking the tech “how did you determine there’s gas in the diesel?” He answered “By color and smell”.
Of course if that’s the case, it voids my warranty, and repair cost falls on me. I have the “chain of custody“ of my JT. I drove it 30 miles to town (no driving issues), went to Maverik
filled the tank with 15.3 gallons of diesel. Drove out of the station, got 200 yards and the truck lost power and stalled. Gasoline has not touched my Jeeps lips.
I demanded a fuel test. Friday is the day.

Pull the receipt from the gas station ? Do you use fuel rewards? They email.a receipt with the fuel used. Also you started a new thread.

Pull a sample from the tank and ship it out. Gas station could have done it too.

What the last 3 posts just above mine here say - be armed with proof and information. Best defense is sometimes an offense. And yes, fuel stations have screwed up, as have others who work there or for them.
Man, what I used to see in the 1970s during summer travel season when most gas station fuel storage tanks were above ground, and I worked along I80/I35....... the stuff I drained out of people's gas tanks......

There's a recall out on the high pressure fuel pumps, I'd be pushing that yours should be included. https://jalopnik.com/jeep-wranglers-jeep-gladiators-and-ram-1500-trucks-wi-1849687000

Wouldn't be the first time that an initial recall didn't cover the whole run of problem vehicles

I remember reading online about Bosch Diesel fuel pump issues years ago. Way too many stories like this- fuel pump fails, dealer blames the fuel, owner gets shafted. Scared me off buying a Diesel, thinking for a while the best option would be to test/sample every fill up to counteract claims of bad gas.

I would reach out to the station and see if they had any other complaints, then go to the Jeep get a sample and have it tested so you have rock solid evidence also make sure the tech or service manager actual watches you get the sample. Good luck

Sorry if starting a New Thread was the wrong thing to do.
Yes I have my Maverik receipt showing date, time, pump, fuel, quantity and cost. Also spoke with station manager about possible gasoline contamination. This station pumps huge quantities of diesel daily. If there was an issue, there’d be hundreds of trucks pulling boats and trailers dead on Highway 95 in Lake Havasu City.
Service Manager has scheduled a fuel test for tomorrow. I will be on site for the sample draw and the test.
Thanks again for your input.

Odds are that if the storage tank was contaminated then you are not the sole victim.

Ask who said there was gas in the diesel. Then ask that person if he is an expert in terming that there is gas in diesel. If he says yes. Then ask for his certs. And ask if he willing to back that up in court. That gets them to change their story.

Great on you for having your facts and sticking it to them, if the receipt shows diesel then you should be safe.

So.... Any chance you used this Sams club to fill up? I see you're in AZ, not a horribly long drive...just a guess?

I was going to mention this, as well. If - and it’s a very big “if” - the testing of the fuel shows gasoline contamination, it may be due to a screw up by the station or tanker delivery. I’m of the mind that no contamination will be found. Otherwise, you have a good handle on what happened and should be able to get it repaired under warranty.

This^, if there’s no other victims on the side of the road, the gas got in there some how (if the test shows gas). Be ready to file a vandalism claim with your insurance.

This May sound a bit like conspiracy, but here goes:
The Service Tech claimed he could detect gasoline in a sample he drew (don’t know where from) by color and smell. I called BS.
I will be on-site tomorrow morning when a fresh sample is taken and tested by a “qualified” testing company.
My concern (conspiracy theory) is that my JT has been sitting at the dealership where this Service Tech works, for 9 working days. I fear someone could dump some gasoline in my tank. The Service Tech May feel a need to be proven right by the test.
I pray to God that’s not the case.
