Yeah fuel economy is not that important. It's pretty good right now so room for a bit of a loss for sure there. alternatively I don't do anything this year and a bigger build next year with full suspension and axle upgrades. I do think I'll keep the truck for a long time it's just so good with the HEMI.
Yeah - I have no complaints at all with mine. It will be with me for years to come. Actually looking at adding to the fleet now. Looking for a Wrangler for my daughter. Not sure which way I will land yet - I have looked at YJ's, TJ's and a few JK/JKU's.

I think it would be best to get her something newer for reliability purposes but ..... who knows! I miss the nostalgia of my YJ and TJ a bit too.

That's sweet. I would always think safety features as well so would probably build her a 2-door JL ;)

You have to call insurance - explain the mods and the amount you need insured for and the coverage is adjusted.

I've personally driven the TRX, its a clunky gimmick of a truck. I don't make a point to speak ill of Mopar vehicles but they REALLY missed the mark on it. I'll take my Gladiator any day.
You have to check with your provider. some companies only cover oem costs. Some cover a fixed amount of aftermarket and some let you declare an aftermarket amount.

so exciting!!!! can you reuse transmission or any other parts from the 5.7 swap? How has life been with 40s? and how do they perform on the trails? easy to turn?

Hey Shrinkhead,

A handful of the conversion parts are the same - yessir.

40's have been awesome, couldn't imagine going back. I am thinking 42's are a possibility depending on the mods needed for clearance.

How has everything been going with yours?

loving it on the trails and making incremental upgrades. I am trying to find the lowest lift and tire size possible that are ideal for the trails I do here in the north east. so going from 2 inch lift to 3 inch lift and 35s to 37s with some axle shaft upgrades. If this is still too much scraping I will need to decide if I go really big (and high center of gravity and additional width due to tires which is not ideal here) or armor up and just scrape away. That will be an end of 2022 decision. it's also super fun for driving around town. for family trips we have been using the GLS lately as the dog can just travel in her crate and it's so quiet going too fast ha ha. put a deposit down for a Boeras EOS-12 with a June target date which is another reason I am trying not to have the hitch too high in the air. Gives me a few months to install the trailer brake controller haha.

Yeah, Nemisis fronts and Road Armor rears. I originally ordered all Road Armor but the fronts didn't work well with adjustments needing made to fit 40's.

Sweet. I just put the order in for the nemesis and will look at road armor for the rears.

Nice! I like them was happy with the turn out. Mines loading up Friday to go back to AMW again for the next powertrain update.

They are having a hard time getting parts and stuff in with all the delays with transport. Took way longer than I had hoped to get it back in but its all about to come together.

tell me about it. the rock krawler lift I ordered in August is still not here. same with my falcons....my 37s arrived finally but by now I was going to go 40s but those are out until 2H2022 so will stick to 37s for next season and try to get the parts lined up for 40s to go on end of next year with new axles as well. so even though I picked the right powertrain for me I dicked around too much on the rest of the build but hey at least I can compare the different setups in terms of mileage and road manners as well as on trails for 35s, 37s and 40s with the HEMI.

Good luck with your build :)

Man - should have gotten that all done when you did the powertrain :)! I am one to talk I guess......being that I am going back for a 2nd round of upgrades. Looking like it won't just be a powertrain swap either but.....I don't want to say to much as some of the goodies are still in R&D.
