Good idea with the factory based warranty. I’d never buy anything else. People will see this and disagree, but after decades in the car biz, it’s all id ever recommend.

Either find a Jeep Dealership or maybe try to contact Jeep online and lay out the situation. I’m Assuming you didn’t buy through a Jeep dealership. They’ll be able to help ya out with it. I don’t know much about it but something like “Jeep Cares” may be able to guide you to what you’re after as well.

Congrats Michael and welcome to the Jeep fold. Get ready to get addicted to the Jeep universe

@JeepCares, is there a way to get a factory bumper to bumper extended warranty after the purchase? 2025 Mojave above.

You can buy the Mopar Extended Warranty from any authorized Jeep dealer. There are several that sell them discounted online. There are multiple threads on here somewhere.

I can't agree more, at least IMO, for what it's worth.

You would know more than me about this, but the service gal who I have worked with since I bought mine (OK, just oil changes and tire rotations under the original service plan thing) almost pleads with me to answer the follow-up email from the dealer. It asks if I was satisfied, happy, jumped up and down with joy, or whatever all the things are they want you to click on the 10 out of 10 things on the survey.

But for what it's worth, at least with a dealer there appears to be some additional level of "care" for the client that may not be available to walking in to some local place that you don't know.

Which (finally) comes back to the warranty issue. I do agree, even though it may cost more, you have to consider who is backing it and if you aren't satisfied, how far "up the latter" you can go if there is a problem. I have not done the Mopar extended warranty yet but have done it for both of my wife's BMWs (318i and X3) and once when it was needed, there was no problem at all. In fact, the service manager said they would also include some other "maintenance" things in the repair that are not specifically specified in the extended warranty. True, that was the BMW warranty and not the Mopar warranty but I would still lean towards the factory warranty if it is anywhere close to the price of a third party warranty.

Try this web site, bought one here, factory all good!

www.buymoparwarranty.com

Youll get a real mopar, nice people and it will be legit! My talk was with a Jackie Harney! You can do it all on line, way cheaper!! I checked after purchasing and my local Jeep dealer said it was on their computer! I bought 7/80 I think?

that of course is really only 4 extra years cuz they count your original 3 years! This is third I’ve had, all work same!

good luck, wolfdog

Go Jeep

I did a search here for Mopar warranty and contacted all the recommended companies for quotes. The dealer where I bought my Jeep matched my lowest quote. The dealer I used was Roanoke Motors in Illinois. They were great.

April 2026

I'm two years and a few months into my 23 ownership low miles 19K and change. I just called the MOPAR line after an email and it is 3800 bucks for 8 years and 85K miles... Granger motors is 2705. Same warranty. Identical actualy MOPAR. Stellantis has changed the name to "Flexcare" I noticed and it was confirmed by the MOPAR guy I called as identical just that Stellantis didn't like the name. I went with a 200 buck deductible as I can afford 200 bucks any time and my worry is all the multi-thousand buck stuff after the three year 36K OEM warranty. Peace of mind is worth something....to me.

I'm 70 and have purchased a lot of cars over my 70 years. I learned my lessons the hard way and usually in retrospect.

Now I'm only doing 10K miles a year and so I'm likely going with the seven year 75K at 1855 from Granger. The "retail" price is also 1100 bucks more. I"m pretty sure Granger is going for volume over pricing and getting a good name out there... I think it has worked for them as a sideline.

AND for those of you even talking to your dealership at purchase, that is your first mistake. YOUR answer to any dealer perhaps other than Granger itself is NO, and the same answer after they make you listen as it is a requirement they will tell you...

Remember: A dealer can charge you whatever you will pay for it. They tried me at 5,000 bucks at one dealership. I was like no thank you, popped my eyes back in my head and then ten minutes of hard sell...and what do you know a thousand off, my answer was still no.

AND, they can sell you other company's plans also where they make even more money and you can count on the plan being almost worthless... I see one person here fell for that.

AND BEFORE you go to buy, check out the "retail" MOPAR/Flexcare website and price what you are getting. THen check Granger pricing and any other volume dealer working it like Granger and then see what the dealership tries to gouge you with and compare. Occasionally there are a few dealers who are very honest who you sell you an OEM extended warranty at their price or a hundred or two over. I had a Subaru dealership that did that to stick it to their competition packed pretty tight where I lived then. THey will usually tell you though and then put an extra 800 bucks on some fees...

They got about a million ways to get a piece of you. ALWAYS check your trade in value online and at at least one physical dealership. I got an extra thousand that way once. But also know if its a buyer's market or seller's market on used. That is usually built into the KBB type offers you will see online. IF you can figure it out KNOW what is and is NOT selling used locally also. And they can make a lease sound like a dream purchase. They seldom are. Most now days are 10,000 miles a year max driving. AND there are purchase vs lease calculators out there. A lease can work if you would really like to buy and do buy at the end of the lease..

YOU ARE however always gambling on depreciation at the end of a lease. If the market is desperate for used cars, you can make out. I did that with my 2015 Ram 1500 during Covid. It was like worth 10K more in 21 than one year prior at the end of the lease like Jan 2020. So I bought it

If there is a glut of used cars in the marketplace, either buy it and run it into the ground with an after lease financing through your local credit union if possible as they generally have the best rates. Or, suck it up...

KNOW exactly what you are up against before walking onto the dealer lot with an intention to purchase. Dealerships are a business and in it for the money. Don't be the gullible buyer walking in helping them out. Caveat Emptor...
