i'd be starting a riot; refusing to leave the dealership until i had someone from Stellantis NA customer service on the phone telling me whether or not they were even allowed to refuse what they are refusing.

I’d bet they’re hoping you’ll take it to another dealer (and won’t report them to the FTC about this blatantly illegal BS). Probably lots of dealers feeling burned by trucks in bays with parts unavailable, stop-sales, complex repairs that can’t be completed in book time, waiting for expert techs to come around, etc

Fact is they can't just drop it like that. He's full of it. They can't sell a vehicle, warrant it, then later say king's x, we were lying, no support, no warranty, no parts.
In short, he's full of crap.
They are lying, it's not legal, and you should report them to Jeep - get their sorry butts in trouble. If they act like that, keep after Jeep until they come begging for you to come back.

I dont understand the game here, for what seems mostly in Houston, even on other forums with shitty dealers seem to be in the same area, same area where everyones cars are being stolen.

The dealer will piss off the wrong person who will either sue, or implicate and sue stellantis also, or a combination of the two, what does the dealer gain here from such dishonesty.

had some luck over on 6g review bombing certain ADM dealerships.

Can't hurt to give it a try here.

This looks like the “go away” price for a job they wound lose money on. Since it is under warranty, this is easier to say. Unacceptable. What happened to you sell it you back it?

Dealerships make less money on warranty. there's the struggle to get parts, they don't make any money at all on warranty parts - usually there's a mark-up on parts they replace not under warranty, and the warranty rate isn't as good as they could otherwise make.
So a dealer may refuse because of the hassle
I was told by the service advisor yesterday that one employee in their shop does nothing but warranty filing, paperwork, submissions and so on. So anything that comes in under warranty, that person is involved on the reporting, approval and so on. It's a full time position

The dealer can refuse - the car maker can't.
So - contact Jeep, explain exactly in detail what the dealer representative said and post a few reviews out there on the dealerhsip.
Jeep can't refuse, it's simply not possible for them - it's federal law.
A dealership is independent - but - there's leverage because they can lose points with the auto maker.

Following up on my comment above @yrwins

NOT YOUR PROBLEM

Call Jeep directly. 844-JEEP-WAVE and lodge a complaint/ticket
Call the Chrysler executive office, and do the same. 1-800-334-9200 it's available Monday to Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Usually the exec offices get things moving. I only talk to people who have power to make decisions, everyone else is just a useless person adding notes, in the way. Thats how i navigate generally these types of problems. Make sure to have dates, people, names etc. rip into them about this experience. The dealers are stewards of the corporate warranty, they need to follow process which this is not.

If you go the lawyer way on this, the rules are simple, you have to have three strikes of written refusal from the dealer before Any forced consideration from a judge will happen. You already have one. ShadowsPapa is spot on, press the OEM and make it rain hard on them.

The problem is Stellantis will say that stealerships are independent. So, they have not control over what the stealerships do. If they decide not to do warranty work, Stellantis claims they cannot make them. It's 100% BS. But, these big corporations have decided that screwing over a few people is better for the bottom line than fixing their issues.
