So I have been searching for a while what folks have done for water systems. I am curious if there is any experience or comments folks have specifically on the rinsekit. I definitely need a modular/removable system to remove components during the winter to prevent freezing.

https://rinsekit.com/collections/sh...hyperheater-portable-instant-hot-water-heater

it does seem a little expensive, with proprietary hook-ups, which may or may not be adaptable.

I know a lot of folks use the instant heaters in a plastic box which is an idea but I was considering this to get away from the need to build myself another system.

The pressurized road showers seem like a decent option but they are awful expensive compared to a simple pump and hose. I also am not a fan of that much weight up on a roof rack.

Originally my idea was a onboard pump with a pickup to dump into a container of water of some sort, and with an output that splits in two for cold and hot water so that the hot water can be turned off when not in use. This is still a possibility, of course a ready built system that suites needs/desires will alleviate time spent researching and building my own. This may stil be the best route but just considering other options.

After much thought I just picked up the Joolca Nomad kit. Everything fits in the sink, a very useful sink. I'm guessing will be using the sink/faucet setup a lot more often than the shower.

Looking at the Ironman 4X4 off-road 13 gallon tank. It's only 5 inches. Build it into the bottom of the bed with a 6" deck. Adds additional storage as well with little storage compartments for gear.

I use an older frontrunner tank. Loaded up and ready to roll. The blue box is Joolca Nomad hot water system. Will need to add a gravity fed spigot to the driver rear bumper like darkhorse.

Did you see my post by chance? Everything is 100% removable.

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...gal-on-board-removable-custom-solution.35648/

I have a new canopy so the only thing that changed is the shower placement. Sorry don't have the final hot water heater pic placement at the moment.

I think I did see your post on another thread a while ago. Im still up in the air with some ideas though. Since I do plan for a 12v pump I am having a difficult time deciding if I want it to be on board all the time or fully modular and removable. I can certainly see it useful in more than just shower and cooking situations.

however, currently the biggest struggle is settling on a heater option and how to store/mount it. I do like the tankless heater units however they all seem to be battery powered. I would prefer an option that can be hooked up to the vehicle 12v system (or a house battery). The propane hookup is also a question. It would be nice to have a 1 pound tank that can power mutiple things from the water heater, to the cook stove (if an adapter exists).

The battery powered piece of the heater is a moot point in my opinion. It only takes 2 D-sized batteries and they only power the ignitor as the unit turns on. I've never replaced my in 3 years. Plus it's always best practice to carry spare batteries for all your devices for a field change.

Yes, there's a simple adapter for a 1lb bottle. My own personal opinion on 1lb tanks though is that they are wasteful unless you refill them. A 5lb bottle is more practical and can even fuel a propane fire pit.

yeah I meant a 5 pound bottle lol. Good catch. i just saw another post where a guy made an extruded aluminum frame for a water tank. That type of setup could also work well to hold some jerry cans (easier to lift for me). And I think there might be a way to fab up a mount bracket between the canopy rail mounton the inside of the roof (RLD) and the trail rail system so that a heater box can mount to that and still be removable.
