Installed my flush mount lights last night. I also have the Oracle bumper lights. No issues at all. My truck was halogen that is now all LED. I had some aftermarket LED taillights in for several months that I used J-scan for. Swapped to the flush mounts without the resistor and no problems.
I remember when I originally installed the aftermarket LED taillights that I did have a tough time. If I remember right, I had to do a couple of "reset all ECU's" to get it to take.
Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Using a resistor is a band aid. If you are going to put LED's in a late model vehicle that doesn't have them, plan on investing in a tuning solution.
