Plus you have to knock a big chunk out of the grill...... not really pleasing. I'd rather go with the type that go where the latches are - no cutting or hacking anything and they belong there.
(And setup the hood alarm, of course)

That was my other thought. I don't have one (I DO now wish I had ordered that option) but a lot of other JT owners do have one.

A few months back some ass clown cut the power wire to starter and O2 sensor wires on my LJ. I found that after I decided to take it for a drive, I found the O2 sensor wires cut when I was fixing the starter wires. Not a good idea for the dip.... it could have ended badly. A manual transmission parked in gear on the grade of my driveway. I'd hate to have some dumb ass squished in my gravel driveway then they would be ate by my cats.
Now on back on track... hood lock(s) and alarm on hood open would maybe help slow down the scumbag(s). Something I found out is the alarm will activate if you unlock door with switchblade key and open the door (on mine???)... "keyfob battery died" I had to get other fob to deactivated it.

I don't think it looks that bad. Don't have to carry multiple keys.

Did you have to move your trail cam, or is that an aftermarket (i.e. Tazer) one? The Bolt website specifically says it's not compatible with the cam ??

It's an aftermarket cam.

You can enable a hood alarm with a Tazer. Not sure if that is of interest or if you already have a Tazer.

I woke up this morning with my hood opened up and these wires sitting on top. The yellow wire says gasoline and oil resistant. I couldn’t see any wires in my actual engine bay that looked cut and no warning lights came on when I started my truck. Everything seems to be running fine, but I don’t really want to drive any further than I absolutely have to until I figure out if something was stolen. Any help of what I may need to look for would be much appreciated.

Get the rugged ridge hood latches I did . They are nice and heavy duty and about $107 off amazon and only takes about half an hour to install . I do have the trail cam and did not want the center hood lock . Cheap insurance for a 100 bucks .

I’m curious about your trail cam. Make, model, how’s is it hooked up etc. the forward facing trail cam is the one my truck did not have that I wanted. Any information you can provide would be great
