I just picked my JTM up on Sunday...............10 miles on the clock. Today when I was leaving the house to drop off my 37s and wheels to get installed and this little motherfucker lit up. Runs and drives fine, but WTF. I'm just rolling with it, Jeep Life Yo.....right? At 193 miles, so I drove it a whooping 183 miles and got my first CEL.

I will scan it in the morning and come up with a course of action. Anyone

I think I might have you beat. I picked mine up last week. Got the first CEL at 109 miles(Service TCM, CAN bus, and Service Electronic Stability Control). It told me not to shift out of D or I might be screwed. I called a dealership, but the could only get it into the shop today. I made the appointment and let it sit for a couple of days.
The CELs went away, so I decided to drive it to work on Monday. 8 miles later, CEL, same service message, "don't shift out of D," no power steering and Trans temps on offroad pages showed over 400 degrees but switched back to normal temps almost instantaneously. I took her right back home.
I checked for loose fuses/relays/wiring.
Finally, Monday evening the CEL was gone after all of the tightness checks, so I decided to go out to dinner with the wife and the Jeep. Dinner was great, but the Gladiator wouldn't start. It flashed the "don't shift out of D" message even though it wasn't even running and then flashed about 5 different error messages and couldn't get out of the run position on the push button start. I ended up pulling whatever fuses made sense and removing and re-seating the PCM? connectors by the battery to get it to start again.
I made all the service techs at the dealership laugh when I told them that it was most likely possessed by a high level demon, but I wouldn't fault them any if they decided to get a priest involved in this case.

When I bought my Miata (used) I made it about 500 feet before it started flashing CEL. Dealership washed the engine and got water in the spark plug wells, causing misfires. Drove back, had them blow out with compressed air and everything was good. :)

Not a Gladiator, but I did a pre-delivery inspection on a '22 Wrangler 4xE that had 3 (three) miles on it and a flashing MIL light. I diagnosed it as a exhaust valve seat issue, and replaced the cylinder head. Major fun, pulling the head, turbo, and intake manifold/charge air cooler as one piece. Looking forward to the "Hurricane" engine, same basic design with two more cylinders and two turbos, it promises to give 50 percent more grief than the GDI turbo 2.0.

56 miles for me. Multiple cylinder misfires on my 2022 JT on the first weekend.
Dealer and I talked today - with almost 6,000 miles on it now he wants it in and said it's likely one of their master techs will look at it and get a STAR case going.

Got all of you beat - mine came on literally right after I signed the paperwork on my 2020 Overland and I was about to leave the dealership - CEL came on as the sales guy was walking me through various features of my new purchase; it ended up being both batteries needing to be changed out because the auto stop/start system was acting up.

Holy shit.

Well I'll check all of the fuses and relays in the morning after I scan it. The battery voltage has been averaging 12.8 - 13.1 which seems the norm with Jeeps. My Tahoe is always between 13.1 - 14.2

You’ve got me beat. Mine went away on its own though.

Just for lol’s, keep an eye out for the threads here with folks that have 20,000 miles and no CEL history. They spike the ball like they’ve got a 200,000+ mile vehicle that’s never needed anything more than an oil change. “Only in a Jeep.” ?

Good luck. I don't know why but, even with all of the electrical seeming problems on mine so far, I'm still loving the truck. But ask me again in 6 months if things persist like Shadowspapa's issues and maybe things will be different. This is my first Jeep and first ordered vehicle, so I'm going to stay optimistic for now. ?

I recently test drove a 2022 Overland with less than 20 miles on it. It had a CEL but drove just fine. The salesman said "Oh it probably just needs a battery charge". I didnt go through with the deal, but my 2020 JTR with 25k on it has been flawless!

Well I had 2 PO300, misfire and random misfire.

I read someplace on here that a member had to have the sparkplugs replaces to correct the issue. It's running fine at the moment, but time will tell

May need to get a scan tool like Jscan or similar that will track individual cylinder misfire counts. to narrow it down which cylinders and which bank.
