Hey don’t knock the laser pointers. They’ve been used MANY times to light up a room when a team is using night vision goggles. Overwatch puts a tiny red dot through an opening and that whole room is like daylight.no, but you can find purple lasers.

I used to shoot bowling pins. I've seen some wheel guys just blow everyone else away.Wheels guns are making a come back, seeing more and more young shooters using them in competition. A couple guys I shoot with will give average semiauto shooters a beating in a match. A lot more work and the gear is not cheap.
Yep!! Cheap and effective if you have a bowling alley nearby. Good for follow on shots to practice getting back on target. They stay together surprisingly well with .308.I used to shoot bowling pins. I've seen some wheel guys just blow everyone else away.

Yeah, but Walter in the next lane over gets really pissed if you shoot during his approach, especially on league night.Bowling pins take a lot of abuse before falling apart.
I guess I'm not afraid of roaming windmills.that's really cool, I'm happy for you.

Grew up in the big bad NYC . Still not afraid and I know plenty of people older than me who aren't.Rather short sighted thinking anyone who trains in self defense or carries a firearm is doing so because they lack self confidence or are just plain scared.
I would rather be prepared to not so much protect myself but to protect others that cannot, sort of the same reason I pack more tools and stuff for a trail run than I will likely need. That way I can help someone else who was not scared of breaking down get off the trail.
No one is threatening your manhood. I don't feel the need to carry a gun. Ever. I have a brother who lived a soft life who collects firearms and goes to a TRT clinic. So I will say the same thing that I tell him "change the channel(S)" because I tend to live what's left of my life and not train so I can be in a constant state of fear.Depends on the state. You can still ride in the back of a truck or ride a motorcycle with no helmet in AZ. It's dumb, but it's not law. All of those things, including firearms, most of us will never actually need. Those that do are glad they had them. Those that didn't have them found out the hard way when it was too late. It's not hard to be prepared just in case. I also have 0 desire to prove my manhood in a fight with a bear, mountain lion, or other critters we often encounter out wheeling/camping. Better to have and not need than the other way.

I rode a motorcycle until I physically couldn't. Sometimes with a helmet sometimes without but I had insurance. If you accidentally kill someone is the weapon insured?
I choose not to make that mistake. As I got older an wiser I always wore a helmet and riding only put me in danger.
Insurance won't put your head back on because you wanted to look cool on your motorcycle. Just like Insurance won't replace you or a loved one if you needed a firearm. Yes I'm insured, but if it comes down to choosing stuff or defending my family, I'll see you in court. Being prepared isn't living in fear no matter how many times you parrot it. I train because it's fun and I hope to never have to use a firearm defensively. Same goes for the seat belt, life insurance, the fire extinguishers in our Jeeps and home, etc. I guess in your world I'm afraid of fires and car accidents too?No one is threatening your manhood. I choose not to make that mistake and gun owners can't stand it.
I was about to post something, and then I saw it right here.I train because it's fun
Now I understand your avatar, that is where you are speaking from. Please Mr tough guy from NYC take pity on us poor weaklings that live in fear our whole lives.Grew up in the big bad NYC . Still not afraid and I know plenty of people older than me who aren't.

5 minutes of researching actual self defense situations will tell you that nobody is defending themselves barehanded against multiple assailants, drugged up psychos, or armed individuals. It's always the old guy, probably hasn't been in a physical altercation in decades if ever, that thinks they can. Meanwhile you have 200 pound ufc fighters describing defending themselves against a single attacker as the most brutal physical altercation they've ever been in. Odds are none of us will ever have a home invader let alone several, but it's better to be prepared in my opinion. Now I understand your avatar, that is where you are speaking from.
