I was recently using an OBD MX+ w JScan changing various things, now my remote start doesnt work. I looked at that setting and it says active. Is there somewhere else i need to toggle?

Unlikely as it may be due to recent programming but battery status will also prevent auto start. It will honk at you but not start.

I have the tank topped off, i was wondering about the aux batt, it starts normally w the button (& stab the brake) and the voltage reads normal running. Sux, its cold here, makes a great option to start up and get the heat going...

Is the bypass cable still connected? It doesn't seem like a common occurrence, as I believe some leave the cable/dongle attached at all times, but after making changes in my Jeep, it wouldn't start until I removed the bypass and the plugged them back into the SGW.

if you have used remote start twice and not selected the 'run' feature within those two times, it will not start until the vehicle is started again.

I had this happen to me. Remote started my vehicle, turned it off bc we werent leaving. Remote started again and it timed out. Would not remote start again. Once we drove home, it worked as designed. Owners manual confirmed my condition.

Get the ZAutomotive extension cable. It plugs into the Security Gateway and extends those plugs down so they are easy to reach. It makes it easy to unplug and use the OBD reader and then reconnect when you're done so everything works.

That's why you buy the ZAutomotive extension cable.

Pull what panel?
I've never pulled a panel. Wouldn't help even if I did......
The extensions EXTEND the gateway connectors DOWN so you can reach them.
Unplug the cables from the gateway, plug the extension cables into the gateway - bingo, now you have the gateway connectors extended down where you can reach them.
I no longer need to touch the gateway itself - because the extension cable set hangs down for me to unplug the factory cables from and connect my bypass cable to the factory cables when I want to hook up.
It's like using an extension cord to get to the outlet behind that huge couch. You can connect to the end of the extension cord and not the outlet.

You must be mixing up EXTENSION cable with BYPASS cable.
