Some say, from what I've read, that the 2.0 needs more cooling...... if what I read in the Wrangler forums is correct, this could be one explanation as they move toward more small, turbo-charged engines and expand the 4xe line-up.Still don't like the new grill, I'll be interested to hear what the percentage of cooling increase it provides though. Figured they would have touted it in the press release if it was very significant.
Just "guessing" - don't hold me to that, I'm going by what others with the 2.0 have said "it needs better cooling".
We've not had our 2.0 in hot weather, it's only been driven in 70 degree temperatures since we bought it in January (and that was in Florida) so I can't say how it would respond when we get to 100 here this summer.
