rubed a curb

I got distracted last night coming home and hit a curb with my 2024 Rubi stock wheel. I am really not ready to buy new wheels yet, and was wondering if there is a way to polish these back to looking better?

They have wheel people that will fix it but it will never be perfect . You can check Facebook for another one and switch to 37s so you can run any curb you want and not hit the rim though.

Gouge all four of them up so they match.

My 2016 JK had the black Willy's wheels. They had gouges in each one from offroad trips.

People would ask me, straight faced, what was up with all the curb rash.

I was like fellas - that's what happens when you use a vehicle as intended. No curbs in the middle of the woods and desert - just rocks

Anyway - the other fella is correct. Most bigger towns have some place that can touch up wheels and get them close to nice again. Only other option is to hop on Ebay and find you another wheel. Locals aren't usually selling one at a time.

Unless it is a pavement Princess, run it as is. Most people expect an off road vehicle to have some scratches from time to time. Adds character.

If the gouges are down to the metal, you may want to hit it with touch up clear.

If you're near the ocean, or salt is put down in the winter, it will stop the oxidation of the bare metal underneath.

Keeps the battle damage, seals the rest of the clear from lifting/flaking over time.

OP I feel your pain. I had a Ram Laramie with the 22" wheel option they looked cool but curb rash was a tough to avoid. It cost $185 to get the wheel fixed the first time then it was Black Sharpies after that.

Tell people you scraped it on a rock while carrying an injured child over a mountain to the hospital in the middle of the night, or some equally heroic off road shenanigans.

Yes, I would be happy with just 35's at this point, but Christmas is coming and club Volleyball is stealing those funds for now...

Is that a rub mark all the way up by the lug nuts? What kind of curb is 15"+ tall? And how do you hit it? I don't think 37s would help there. All the wheels on our Jeeps have rock rash, pretend it's trail damage and move on.

your right, that one had to have been done by a rock on the trail. . It's all good, it's starting to look like a real Jeep now.
