Not trolling at all dude. I hated the seat, bought the seat jackers and realized they improve the angle but then also put your head closer to the sound bar and I hit my head. Its a fail. And honestly it wouldn't take anything for Jeep to redesign the seat bracket and add power seats… i switched to a full size pickup and honestly for a daily, i dont think I can ever go back. I will have a JT again one day because despite the lack of power, slap 37’s and a small lift and a 10K warn on a rubi and you can honestly go anywhere within reason. But damn such a nice interior on the JT finally but the seat in my opinion completely blows. For
Ref im 6’4 and 195 - 200 depending if im cutting.
Makes sense. I REALLY wish they put electric seats w/memory in these. It’s become a habit to remind my wife not to adjust my seat if she drives it haha.

i have, and still do, contemplate a full size. The prices are just insane IMO. We’ll see where life takes me after the VA approves my back claim and i end up getting surgery.

(1)... So my question is, for those of you in the camp that the Gladdy seats are uncomfortable, was just the angle for your legs?

(2) Does installing seat jackers help with butt pain by displacing your weight more evenly across a larger surface of your butt and thighs?
(1) Yes.

(2) No.

I am 5'10" and 180 lbs. The stock seat, like the JL I had before it, was uncomfortable due to the seat bottom being higher at the back than the front when raised up. I always felt like I was sliding forward out of the seat.

The original Seat Jackers did away with that awful slope forward and makes my JT seat perfectly comfortable.

Based on complaints here on the forum last fall, when my Mojave showed up my "seat-comfort" expectations were very low. Once I got it and adjusted the drivers seat, I was overwhelmed with how comfortable it is. Just as good as my Cadillac STS...I have the upgrade to leather, but not sure that makes the differences. I was pleasantly surprised that the manual adjustments on the drivers seat were precise enough and then some to make me happy...The darn lumbar support alone is so awesome.

I have cloth Mojave seats and have taken 3+ hour trips without any issues. I really don't mind them at all, though I will find out more when I finally take a nice 10hr+ drive to the Carolinas.
I find the Mojave seats more comfortable than the Willy's seats.

Trying to pay more attention to this now before I decide on a Mojave or a Full size truck. I already went through buying a new car that I had to ditch after only a year because I couldn't get comfortable. :headbang:

Just pointing out the reality. Ive been there and done that. Ive owned jeeps longer than 90% of this forum (since 97) its just not a big enough vehicle for people op’s size because of the sound bar and seat pan angle.

oooo... by '97 I personally was on Jeep 4, currently on Jeep 8 and 9 ('05 TJ and '20 JT, both bought new.) My family has never not had Jeeps since the '40s...

I really like the seating in my '05 TJ, I sit and look through the center of the windsheild, as opposed to almost being on level with the rearview mirror in the JT. I think the solution that I would like, is some brackets that lower the rear of the seat by ~3/4 to 1 inch. I may have to invest in a welder to drop the rear of the seat...

Sorry it's taken me awhile to get back to you! Here is what I could get. They aren't to great (pictures that is...). Need anything else, let me know. Like I said before, this is a quick, cheaper method to try before you buy an expensive kit. You will need the specialty socket to remove the seat bolt themselves. Just fyi.

this has been sitting in the noggin for a couple days and has me curious since the 3/4in was too much for me.

What bolts are those? They dont look like the bolts holding my seat frame down and I cant find them in a replacement parts list.

Desert Does It seat jackers are awesome! Went with the taller non adjustable option, wife 5-7 and myself 6-2, work perfect for both of us

For me more its the firmness. The stock seat just absolutely brutalizes my tailbone after about 4-5 hours.

I just drove 1200 miles on my Overland/High Alt. and the seats were damn near as comfortable as my 20' BMW X5. The only real adjustment will be adding front seat lifters. I'm 6' 210lbs.

I only post this in case seats are different from Gladiator Packages.

Desert Does It Seat Slammers work best for heads banging off the sound bar. Plus get a better view out of the windshield, and the seat feels much more supportive. 6’2, 260, and no longer look like a gorilla driving it.

It's tough when you have one seat design to fit a fingerprints database worth of drivers. I'm surprised more people don't complain that the gas and brake pedal are actually too far to the left. The lack of leg support from the seat base angle greatly exacerbates the discomfort from this oddity. I'll say that based on all the reading I've done, many have had success with the seat slammers or seat jackers. Even at only 5'8" and trying out the jackers, I think the slammers would be the best option. It's weird how high the seat sits at the lowest position in these.

They are the stock bolts on the seat. I did not change these out. Only new part I had to get was the specialty socket with reversed torx to remove and reinstall the bolts.

I have a '20 Rubicon with the leather seats and I did the DD seat slammers within the first week of owning it and I haven't regretted it since!!
