Ok, best I could do to describe what I hear. It doesn’t seem to matter the vehicle; I heard it in my 21 JTR, I heard it in a new RAM loaner truck and I’ve been hearing it in my “new to me” 23 JTR.

The sound only occurs between 1st and 2nd gear from a stop. At the green light, easing through 1st gear but before 2nd. Nothing has ever broke so IDK??🤷🏼

Anyone else hear this weird sound?

Yes I also have experienced this and it sounds like you say like fluid squishing through mine does it right in between 1 & 2 when easing out especially while pointed down hill. Both transmission have done it. I dint know what it is but sure as heck would like to know. If I take out from a stop with a pretty good pace it won't do it . Just when easing in first and when there is no load per se on the drive train. ?? Is this the fluid valve for the torque converter? Or is it the tank releasing fluid . In the valve body ? Is it that tank for the stop start ? One of you mechanical brains enlighten us.

I usually can’t hear over the radio blaring. It’s odd that it would just be between first and second gear though. Could it be something with that axle disconnect thing on the front axle cycling? Any other similarities between y’all’s vehicles? Snorkel, Baxter kit, anything like that? Could be a vacuum thing I guess. Those can sound that way sometimes.

Only wooshing sound I get is from the ac compressor on my ‘21 Sport. Only really hear that at idle though. That I notice anyway.

There is an ABS “check” the system performs that causes a little vibration/squishing noise. However it only does it once anfter start up and usually right between first and second gear…I think it’s speed related around 10 mph. Could this be what you hear? Drove me nuts until we figured that out.

That’s good to know. I had first thought it was something with the engine or transmission but then when engine was changed out for #2 and I had also heard it in all 4 transmissions in my first, 21 JTR, AND THEN hearing it again in my 23 JTR and that other RAM loaner, I started thinking it’s gotta be something else. Was thinking it was other components, maybe transfer case or power steering🤷🏼.

So when you say you figured that out, did you swap out the sensor for another or did you clip on those mechanic ears down there to pin point the noise?

Nothing to fix. It’s a standard ABS check. Took a few dealership visits to figure it out, but then there was that one guy that knew what it was. Most vehicles do it. I’m just hyper aware of everything. Easy to replicate just get in, turn it on, drive slowly and around 10 mph you will feel/hear it. Also, if it’s this, it only does once after each start.

I do hear that sound often, proceeding from a stop, between 1st and 2nd. Sometimes it doesn’t happen.

I have a 24 Rub and I started hearing within the past 3000 or so miles as it was not present when I bought it. I have about 8700 on it. I hear it from a dead stop from 1st to 2cd and on the Gladiator it's loud to my ears. The dealership did and PCM update, thought it might be that, no idea

I also thought the sound was just on my Gladiator but I have a 24 Wrangler Rub and I hear the same thing but not as loud. The Wrangler has almost 14k on it, but again this is a recent sound event and my Bride drives it the most. PCM was updated at 5k but not sure about the 10k service. Just strange it was not present when I bought both Jeeps new.

Again, only happens when at dead stop and 1st to 2cd and doesn't matter if I get on the throttle a bit or take off without a lot of throttle.

Bugs me alot..

Mine does it upon easing. If I go at a good take off then nothing.
