My vote would be a 4k up charge just like the eco had. A de tuned 5.7 could make an effortless 340/340 and would feel light years ahead of the 3.6. Something that makes 340 horsepower with ease vs something that’s wrung out to make 285 horsepower would probably see close to the same fuel economy in all honesty. The 3.6 just needs a little more power and it would be fine. A v8 sound in a truck… now that would be nice to have. You don’t need 500 horsepower to sound good.

The last time I looked at the Ram 1500 website the 5.7 was an $1800 option.

There was no reason to charge almost $100K for the 6.4 Hemi Wrangler and that’s why ( along with the shitty full time AWD) it sits on dealers lots. That mark up was outrageous and that’s why new Jeeps are actually coming out with lower MSRP’s ( Grand Cherokee).

I voted no because I think $50,000 for a sport with a hemi is too much money. If there was a $2,000 charge over current pricing for a hemi, I’d be in.

65% for a V8? RIGGED POLL! Everyone knows it’s a TOTAL SCAM. FAKE NUMBERS from crooked pollsters-probably CNN or Car & Driver (same thing!). Run by low IQ grease clowns in basements. Only BETA fumesuckers (too weak to evolve), brainwashed by very Small Brained, very stupid people (tiny hands!) could vote YES. SAD!!! REAL ALPHAS drive the most BEAUTIFUL engines (BEVs) and their only emissions are NOCTURNAL! Clean. Silent. POWERFUL. Many say CALIFORNIA (best economy) has the most BEAUTIFUL EV Regulations and the Manliest Men (HUGE Hands). The poll is FAKE NEWS.

I'd prefer a straight six paired with a manual transmission. The 3.6 has enough power, just not enough low-end torque. I want a low-revving long stroke gas engine. It can be naturally aspirated or with a turbo, either way as long as it is reliable. A new and more reliable diesel option would be nice, too. Farther down the list for me is a V8.

im so sick of having a car payment that im keeping my turd for right now. I cant afford to build another one anyway. I love my 2021. Id love a bit more power, but my JT fits all my needs. a v8 would be a QoL for me, not a necessity. Im probably another outlier, but i did vote 'yes' bc even though i dont need/want one now, i think its an option that should be offered.

maybe in 3 years (2028-2029) i can purchase one with cash.

These are so funny. Especially those who say "it's easy, they do it with Wrangler" or "they do it with Ram".
Yeah, they do! But Ram has endless cooling abilities with that big front end. They can bring in air fro the bottom, and other areas. No impact to your approach angles when off-roading. They can unleash the power - cooling isn't a factor.
It is a huge factor with the JT - they have to maintain their 7,000 pound towing and 1,700 payload. That takes cooling. The JT is pretty much maxed out there.

Go back and read the threads where there's begging for a V8, and the other polls just like this one. This is merely an echo or repeat of all of the others. I believe it was Hootbro who brought up cooling being a factor - Ram vs. JT.
Of course there are other factors being ignored the same as in the other polls and threads.

You mean we have to consider a vehicle's engineering requirements when picking a power plant? WHAT?

I also "appreciate" (laugh) about the idea that the hemi would get better mpg than the 3.6
Let's consider these facts:
The hemi in a JLU gets far worse than a 2.0 or a 3.6 does - in the same vehicle.
The CAFE target is somewhere >30 mpg
Companies were being fined for every TENTH of a mpg under thar goal (prior to this year).
If the hemi would get them better mpg and thus reduce the fines that existed prior to this year, isn't it logical to conclude that a hemi would go into every JT or JLU instead of the 3.6?
It could have cut their fines by huge amounts!
I'm betting ONE of the multiple reasons the hemi was so much more expensive in a JLU than the 3.6 is due to the company having to somehow offset the fines they accumulated with the hemi - and let the customers pay for it.
Don't try to compare other engines and engine technology in very different vehicles. Compare Jeep to Jeep, FCA engine to FCA engine. Bringing in the numbers for an F150 isn't even comparing apples to oranges. It's apples to walnuts.

But people try to justify or simplify their "demands" by leaving out very important pieces of the massive puzzle that is creation, engineering and manufacturing - then selling - of a vehicle that meets all sorts of minimal safety and other requirements. If it was as simple as some assume, there would be at least a dozen new car makers every decade instead of all of the near-bankruptcies and mergers and acquisitions. Even Nissan had massive financial troubles - they've been around for a very long time. It's not as simple as people want to believe.

No dear Lord No not you too another Hemi- proselyte😂😂😂😂😂
I've owned a couple of them. A 5.7 in my 08 Power Wagon, and in my 13 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Never had any issues with either one.
