Here we go again!

The unfortunate truth is the builders and modifiers are not their core market. Far, far more people buy Jeeps for what they are and do minimal work to them if any. This "audience" you refer to is a very tiny subset. Definitely not enough of a subset to support its own product line. That means they will build and price and option for the larger non-builder market.
I would opine here that a vehicle being popular with its fringe market, makes it appeal more to its core buyer group.
If the point you’re making is that the group buying gladiators is majority made up of regular people who don’t build and do nothing with them, I’d ask why is it so appealing to them then? It’s because it comes with an image, that image is perpetuated by the people out there doing something with them. I agree. Jeep should invest in that. Let that core group be the marketing tool that makes others want to buy them.. I can’t think of a family of vehicles that is more community focused. Jeep knows this and does some things to leverage it but I think they could do so much more. I’d 100% buy a 5.7 hemi gladiator at 50k. Hemi swaps are 30k and the cheapest used gladiators are about 20 something anyway.

I voted “Maybe”,I would want an upgraded trim , I love everything about my Mojave other then when towing the camper through hill country, it still does it but mileage drops a lot and a non-turboed small V-8 Mojave priced at number like $2,000- $4,000 upgrade would get me in the dealer. But what MPG is very important with my seven hours of driving almost every weekend to beach. All the Mods over the years would go away and be rebook, would not look forward to taking everything off .
I am also one of the few pretty happy with the 3.6 even at my weight, with stock height tires it is very good for me….my wife knows I would be at the dealer and is good with it as long as this time I get power side steps….Jack

As mentioned by a few, if...and I mean if...Stellantis offered what I have now, a Sport S, with a manual and a V8, I would be game. But not for crazy $$$. An $8k, maybe even $10k premium over the V6 Pentastar...sure. A fifty-dang-thousand dollars premium? HARD PASS.

My vote would be a 4k up charge just like the eco had. A de tuned 5.7 could make an effortless 340/340 and would feel light years ahead of the 3.6. Something that makes 340 horsepower with ease vs something that’s wrung out to make 285 horsepower would probably see close to the same fuel economy in all honesty. The 3.6 just needs a little more power and it would be fine. A v8 sound in a truck… now that would be nice to have. You don’t need 500 horsepower to sound good.
The 5.7 doesn't make those numbers until 4000+ rpm, it's going to feel just as "wrung out" as the 3.6

Of course it's not going to happen at this point in the Gladiator's lifecycle IMO (I question how long the Gladiator will be around as a whole), but theoretically I would 100% buy one at that pricepoint for a Willy's / Sport trim. IF it had a halfway decent manual.

Was the V8 ever offered in the Wrangler in the lower end models - other than Rubicon, for example?
I'm doubting you'll see a MT behind it, and doubting it will be in less than Rubicon.
Of course, that's opinion based on seeing "premium" things being put into upper trim levels.

I've owned a couple of them. A 5.7 in my 08 Power Wagon, and in my 13 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Never had any issues with either one.
I have a tic on my 13 GC and a missing exhaust bolt. Hmm? Related? Had a cooling issue 2 years ago. I kicked the fan to come on at 196f. Never see above 207f.

I'd still like a 5.7l Gladiator.

I like the cool factor of a V8 Gladiator, but I know the price point will be far far off from what I want it to be. So, I'll stick to my 23 JTRD and enjoy it. Hearing that rumble would sure be cool though. But it isn't a huge step up from what I have.

On the 3G Ram 2500 and higher. The right rear exhaust manifold bolt was known to break. The reason why was because the drain for the a/c dripped right on it. Happened once on my PW at 98,000 miles. Never had the hemi tick on either one. I used Mobil 1 0w40 Euro oil in both.

I paused thinking about replacing the bolt. Breaking another on removal is another risk. That rear one is not exactly going to be fun to remove if it broke off flush.

I've had a set of new bolts and a gasket for over a year now.

I find these threads interesting, but it's always a repeat of the same stuff. A lot of wishful thinking, and no real acceptance of the reality of the situation. Even with the inside man telling them it's not going to happen, the dreaming continues.

The current design cannot remove enough heat to accommodate a turbo engine. One reason why the diesel was discontinued, and the Hurricane is not an option. A redesign will be required for anything other than the 3.6L, and that will be limited in order to keep the iconic Jeep shape.

The Gladiator doesn't sell enough to spend a lot in R&D, so it gets what's worked for the Wrangler. A V8 may be a possibility for the '27 MY, but it will be an expensive option. It will require a better transmission than the 850, and frame upgrades. There's no chance of a manual transmission, or a V8 in the lower trims.

The Gladiator will continue, as-is, with minor changes until sales start to drop. When the current labor contract runs out, the possibility of a discontinuation will exist. It will all depend on the market.

Yes, a V8 would be nice, and I would like one, but not at the premium price that would be charged for it.

To be honest I would rather have them bring back the 3.0 Diesel. My son has a 2023 Wrangler with one and it is unstoppable! That said..... I want one in my JT!
