... so back on the sub-topic here of what parts to stock up on if keeping the ecodiesel long term. (didn't someone above mention "Sensors"?)

We've already discussed:
- DPF (replaced at 87k)
- DEF Pump (replaced at 91k)
- EGR cooler
- Lift pump??

Here's one that is now getting painful...
- Fuel Line Bundle 2 (replacing at 92k) - due to a "Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor" failure on the return line

To replace this $1000 part, they have to partially drop the transmission and the fuel tank...

.... again, not covered under the 100k mi warrantee as it is not considered "power train".

I think I need to start a go-fund-me site to keep this jeep running!

So, considering I use this rig for long distance camping trips... where getting a 200mi countdown til the engine will no longer start,... and its 20 mi back to camp, and 160 mi to the nearest dealer on the way home...400 more mi to home...towing a trailer... not too good of a feeling.

This is precisely the reason I refuse to own any new diesel vehicle built after 2007.5. It's criminal that they can build in a program which shuts your vehicle down and puts you in physical danger. Just pathetic.

Am I the only MF'er here who checks his DEF gauge? Running out of DEF is about as dumb as running out of fuel.

Oil coolers, HPFP, injectors, injector line seals.

All things one would need long term.

Most of those parts are provided by suppliers, not Stellantis. I can go buy Spicer U-joints to 40 year old jeeps that were made a month ago in the same factory and on the same tooling as the ones sold to Jeep to build the thing. Car makers don't make cars, they assemble them from parts bought from suppliers.

The days of individual companies having a monopoly on consumable parts is long past. It's big-ticket items like head units, computers, gauge clusters, trim parts, and body panels that are actually hard to get. Even then, someone will figure it out if there's a commonly failing part. Just look at the TJ series, known for failing computers and there are no more new computers left anywhere. Some dude in Florida has made it his business to buy computers from PT Cruisers (because the more of those we get off the road, the better) and reprogram them to factory specs to make your TJ run. $400 later and our TJ was on the road with a fully legal OE tune and computer.

Correct I was researching the friction plates in our Automatic transmissions and found the the 850RE Hybrid technology Friction plates are produced by Raybestos and supplied to Chrysler. I never got far enough along to see who supplies the German made 8HP75 plates.

This has been forever - not just recent years.
Kelsey-Hayes front hub assemblies for Jeeps (and Eagles, too), K-H brakes on Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge cars. K-H wheels and brakes on Cadillacs, even the Italian built versions, Autolite and Motorcraft were suppliers to Ford - Prestolite and Autolite were suppliers of many parts for Ford, Chrysler, and many others.
We can talk steering gears, suspension parts, pretty much anything. If I recall correctly, Ford doesn't even own a glass works any more.

It's not a bad idea to buy upstream and downstream NOx sensors. Also, it's not a bad idea to keep an extra MAP sensor on hand. Your dealer is marking up parts big time, so you'll save yourself thousands of dollars by sourcing your own parts.

- Lift pump??

This may not be a problem in the future, but I've seen the Mopar lift pump on nationwide backorder a few different times. It might be a good idea to keep a lift pump on hand once you get closer to 150,000 miles.

I think I need to start a go-fund-me site to keep this jeep running!

Hopefully this will be the end of your issues for a while. So far, I haven't had any issues with my 2020 Ram EcoDiesel or 2023 Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel. Here's my repair log for my 2015 Ram EcoDiesel:
