Sure this has been discussed adnaseum but my search nets me zero.
24' JTR Cargo Cap listed at 1200 lbs.
How to maintain stock bed height carrying 750 lbs of bedtop camper. Ive read about Timbren SES and even chatted w/them. I get the impression the 1 inch space they describe will all but level the stock rake, which I would like to maintain. Like pulling teeth to get anythig other than the standard company line from chat no matter how I Tried to talk "outside" the box. Maybe I'm dense but I cant see the Timbren ses mainting that one in gap with my load. Airbags are really something id rather not consider what w/haveing to install bags and lines and adjusting/connecting/maintaing. Have started looking at the JPP 2 in lift, but I'm not looking to actually lift, with all that high center of gravity weight. Not plannin on Moab type rock crawling, but do anticipate off camber forest roads and logs. Ima thinking some type of double or triple rate springs but know not how to calculate what I need. Dont know any names of spring manufactures(prefab or custom)to consult on this. TIA., hopefully. Steve

THX, always looking for ideas. What do you think of my comments about Timbren ses? Any experience there? Does my thinking/understanding sound correct?
Youve got Tera listed, are the known for multirate/non-lift solutions. I've heard interesting things about Clayton.
Right noe my fingers are doing the walking-on a keyboard. I would like to glean as much info/insight from this very knowledgeable forum, hear the yays/nays/and even the "what this again" posts, leading me to be even more creative in my searchs.
Hey by chance were you a member of ROF(RubiconOwnersForum) in early 2000's? Solid group, Nortridge4x4 was an early sponsor. I was RubiAnderson. When I was finished, I was supercharged/caged/lifted/armored-tummytucked, completely armor plated-under/real flat fenders/rear quarterpanels steel reinforced/heavy duty front and rear bumpers, and of course slidered. I spent more on mods then the jeep brand new. And it worked! ROF and Northridge4x4 sponsored Moab ride. We did Pritchard trail and all made it( some banged up). I say all this because ROF and Dave@Northridge were fonts of info, i had a lot of fun, Dave has become quite the sucessful businessman, who is much busier now than then. When i asked him about ROF while discussing the Jt, he mentioned that it really wasnt that busy anymore and that this forum was the goto. All things change w/time(20years), but hopefully somethigs have gotten better. So that was an old man telling his stories and hopefully there is patience and informed oppinions and comraderie here. Bonus pt if you actually read past blah, blah, blah. ; )

I have Tera springs and arms and I also have Falcon shocks and they work wonderfully together . I called and got some specs. Now they sell HD springs as well for heavy rear setups . @WILDHOBO and several others have some heavy rides set up the correct way . They also have went through alot of what ypur asking. I can tell you right now I can put 20 concrete pavers in mine and it didn't bat an eye . I hauled a large generator a ¼ cord of wood( a good Rick of wood enough to last 3 days) 2 stoves 5 chairs 3 dogs a wife and a partridge in a pear tree and did just 🙂

Defiantly ask questions about the spring rates. I did the Mopar 2" on my Rubi with a 1" spacer in front to ease out the rake. Ended up more like a 3" lift when it was all measured out. The springs that came with the lift were progressive, so sitting higher unloaded it feels kinda squishy compared to the stock Rubi springs. This isn't the best picture because I'm sitting in a low spot but that's about 1500lbs of water in the back. Some other unloaded pics for reference. Doesn't seem to mind the extra weight, '22 JTRD

Like I said, that's the stock sticker for a non Mopar lifted diesel Rubi. I don't know what the numbers are since I did the lift. I also need to take it up to the scales and see what it weighs now. Those bigger springs, shocks and arms are significantly heavier that the ones that came off

I can't read. Sorry. Taking my meds now...
You're good buddy, I was the one who wasn't paying attention. That door sticker you posted wasn't from me, I just checked mine again and it's a 926. That difference is probably the difference between the gas and diesel. The diesel and matching trans is about 500-700 lbs heavier, different size gas tanks, extra tank for horse pee.........that fits the maths

If you're loading it up with 750lbs, why try to maintain the rake? The rake exists so the trick sits level when loaded, are you planning to load it significantly more on top of the 750lbs? I think you're into a bit of trial and error territory as I doubt you'll find anyone with the exact setup to determine what you're after. I'd guess that a set of 1.5" lift HD springs from Clayton in the rear would get you really close to what you're after. I'd start there and if you want a little more rake add the appropriate height spacer once you get it set on the HD springs under load. Unless you run dump truck hard springs you will have some decent sag with that kind of weight.

That's a first, and higher than the the peak spec. Weird. I see them under 1,000 all the time.

Mine will rock crawl like a monster, but I was still able to tow another jeep 1400 miles back from CA to CO with some Utah mixed in. No sagging. It went from raked to level or a bit higher.

I'm running the Clayton Overland 2.5 lift. Diesel HD springs. I'll be in the process of upgrading the shocks here probably this weekend. Total weight on vechicle for my 2000 mile trip was 7450. A little wobbly/top-heavy. But handled it decent. Part of the reason I'm upgrading the shocks.
