It's quite simple to add a micro switch in the right position. Feel free to contact me once you have it opened. It's mich easier to explain. Has been a few years since i worked on mine, but I'll try to sketch one up shortly.
Many thanks!

I used bicycle spoke and nibble for fine adjustments lol, but you can use any other means. Install the spoke nipple with the flared end toward the bottom, then fill it with JB Weld around it. Whatever you do, DO NOT activate the motor without connecting to the swaybar. Apply power to the motor and once disconnected, place the switch in, marks, drill and tap or through bolt and nuts should works too.

Actually I prefer this setup to Factory as you control disconnecting and reconnecting sway bar not some low speed from factory, also if anything fails it reconnects. If the switch to engage was made a monetary on button along with a momentary stop button through a seal in contact in relay, you would then reconnect the sway bar every time you turn off truck, such as at the end of a long trail , then you are not pulling out into traffic disconnected!
Well I am glad this is just about resolved , now where did I set down my Latte, oh wait, I’m too old to know what that is!….Jack
If you use the tazer sway kill function it does the same. Remains disconnected at any speed and reconnects when you shut the vehicle off (just so nobody thinks they need to hack into the factory wiring on their rubicon to gain this functionality). Between the swaykill and having full control of the lockers (sometimes I want the front only for certain climbs, sometimes I want to lock the rear in 2wd and do donuts in the snow) I wouldn't own a rubicon without a Tazer.

This is how i wired mine. I went with a piezo speaker as disengaged alert because i didn't wanted to run any additional wires into the cab. It beep then goes off once disconnected. I used one of my factory 15a aux switch for activation.

That is way above my skills you guys got it going on I tell ya. I am a nuts and bolts guy. That wiring stuff I never was any good at.

I see what's going on here.

Auto Lynx were not good enough for Bill. It was the easy way out.

Can't nerd out and tinker with them the way you can a home brew Rubicon swaybar disconnect in a vehicle that wasn't included with them. All the goofy wiring, mulling over the fine details. Another DIY in Cat Daddy's back pocket.

🧐

🤣

Kidding. Looks fun!

The metalcloak ones work great for me, but that's with 3.5" of lift. They would likely be way too long on a stock mojave. The apex autolynx are just another sign of the times, nobody wants to do any work. I've never had to hunt for perfectly level ground. Might have to push up on the front bumper with my shoulder a little to get the pin lined up but nothing excessive. Handling in the desert is very negatively affected by disconnecting so I definitely don't use them enough to justify the crazy price difference. Nobody wants to put their latte down and use both hands or they might chip a nail.
Those pesky latte drinking, non-working, Rubicon owners just have to push a button, at least the Autolynx owners have to actually get out in the elements and flip the tops!

I definitely won't be ditching the electric sway bar in the JLUR, but I didn't but the rubicon for that feature. I also won't ever do $500 on end links. That's why the mojave got manual discos.

What about us rubicon owners that also have SDI e-links? Thats a whole new level of prissy. I don’t want my hair to get wet.

$1k sway bar end links? So you don't have to push the button to disconnect the sway bar? Hard pass.

They are so much more than that. So much more. They auto disconnect under 15-20mph on the road, they stay disconnected at full speed in desert mode, but instantly reconnect if you turn, to prevent a high speed roll. They’re completely disconnected in off road mode regardless of steering. They’re not cheap, but not much more than some of the other expensive options, and add so much more functionality.

On this truck I opted out of $3,000 worth of suspension and steering that my other Jeep had, so I settled on $500 worth of end links.

Life is about balance 🥴 😄
