I may be interested. Coming from NJ. Questions:

- Once orders open, how do I know what the invoice price is for my configuration? Typically it’s posted online (kbb.com) and I ask to see the invoice from the dealer for a particular unit on the lot, and compare the numbers to make sure we’re really talking about invoice. I imagine kbb.com wouldn’t have this info yet when orders open, and you wouldn’t have actual invoices since they wouldn’t be in stock. So what can you do as proof of actual invoice of vehicle and all options/accessories?

- What/where is the nearest significant airport?

Actually if you are looking at Airports Greensboro is closest. But RDU and Charlotte would also be options.

When I have purchased vehicles on the past that we’re out of state the dealer put on 30 day temporary tags that allowed me to get home.
It was then my responsibility to go to the DMV and pay the registration and state tax before the 30 days were up.

As far as the bank it would be best to just ask them. I have done it without issue in the past.

This begs the question.....if a dealer can do 7% off of invoice........why cant any dealer do it? Is it just because you are selling volume and making your profits off of sales goal bonuses or are the "rest" just greedy-ish?

Isn't 1% of the 7% an organizational incentive? I assume that's reimbursed by someone.

Regardless.. 6-7% below invoice without a battle is a great deal. I just wish they were closer, the distance down and back burns up the discount a bit for me, probably about 1%. I don't and won't have a control number, so I'm probably a 6%er. Less 1% for distance I'd be the same as about 5% locally.

But, if my local dealers aren't in the game... 5% might be ok. Throw in some floor mats (or a 2" Mopar lift) to make it worth my 15 hour drive. ;-)

I may look into it, I hadn't researched their politics. I'm a little wary of what organizations do with the money I give them. Nothing is a bigger kick in the butt than finding out you're funding someone working against you.

Quick look on their site though lists hunting, fishing, and shooting. They're probably ok.
