My camper with 600w of solar and a single 100AH LifePo4 battery can stay out indefinitely running lights, water pumps, and heaters.

And I never have to listen to a generator hammering away.

I really want to put a bit of solar and battery on whatever I end up getting, when I get back into it.

I will still have to lean on generators for some trips, like to race weekend in July if I do something like that (gonna want AC at least at night), but that's not too bad.

Though I'll say, with these new inverter generators, it's amazing how quiet they can be. When I was at AMS last February several people nearby were running inverter gens for heat and other things at night. One even apologized the next morning if it was too noisy and I was like man I didn't even notice you had one going.

Turns out he had a three sides insulated shield he set around his gen and that dampened the noise.

That being said, another pop up four or five sites down had one running all night and I didn't notice it until I was walking by to the shower house - and it was just sitting in the bed of the truck.

I suspect it's much different out in the woods - the general ambiance (even at night with nothing going on) around a mile and a half speedway probably made them less noticeable.

If I see another human more often than every 48 hours, I'm camping in the wrong place lol.

For sure. When we go out in the woods we try to get as much distance as possible, though you have to have measured expectations in Louisiana. Public land is limited.

Now, when I'm outside Atlanta Motor Speedway, if I can get one 20' space empty between me and the next guy - I'll take it 😂

It comes equipped with a 200W panel on the roof. The solar keeps the 12V battery charged and runs the refrigerator, lights, fan and water pump. It is prepped for an inverter and has a port to hook up additional panels.

The axle is a Dexter TorFlex, independent suspension.
Besides the additional solar port can you add more solar and batteries to it?
I currently run on my Ovrlnd camper 4 100 watt panels and 2 100 AH batteries

Yes, the wiring is supposed to be done to ease someone into hooking up additional solar. You should be able to run multiple batteries also.

That makes me miss CO. I had some spots where I never saw anyone. The only signs of civilization were planes flying 30k’ over.
Yeah, I mean, to each their own... But I'm just trying to get out and enjoy nature with my wife and no one else.

I love being hours from a cell signal.

Uninterested in trailer park style KOA's and state parks.

Is it 12 volt only or does it have an inverter? Can't find anything on their website.

Same. I wouldn’t mind having a small camper that I can get to remote places, but those type of campgrounds are typically a nightmare for me.

Now my wife wants one damn you all! Does it come with solar?
What kind of suspension does it have under it?
I added 300W of solar and mounted them on the front on piano hinges so I can adjust the panel position for optimum charging.
Torqflex Dexter axle... independent torsion axles with coil over shocks, very competent off road.
. I have a Winnebago Hike. https://www.winnebago.com/models/product/towables/travel-trailer/hike-100-flx/2025-h1316mb

That's not me in the ad... but could be although my Gladiator is Gray.... lol

Definitely a equalizer and brake controller. The Redarc brake controller has an off road setting.... and don't forget if you're off road disconnect the equalizer.

I mounted 300w of additional solar in addition to the 200W that come with it. I have 4 -100ahr LiFePo4 batteries and a 3000w inverter w/transfer switch. I also have a 50 amp MPPT/ DC to DC charger from the Gladiator. I did the install myself. The beauty is while driving I'm recharging the batteries. I use 60 amp Anderson connector from the Gladiator to the trailer. It's a sweet set up. I did a 3 month solo journey (20K miles) and never had to use my generator.

Dexter Axle with independent torsion suspension and coil over shocks. Load range E 16" tires on the trailer. Very capable off road, and I've been in some serious back wood places.

I also installed air bags on the Gladiator... easy pezzy. Run them around 25lbs.

I forgot to note.... If you look at the link from Winnebago you might notice the trailer has an exoskeleton of pipe. I mounted the panels from the horizontal crossmember in the front with piano hinges. I use a redneck sling support to tilt the panels depending on the sun's location relative to the RV.
